Could This Be : A Paulieworld/MadeOfWax collaboration

Paul of @Paulieworld fame and I have been discussing a collaboration for a while now. I shared some rough musical ideas that I had been trying to expand on.
Given what he had to work with, all credit goes to Paul for what I think is an amazing transformation of some rough ideas into this:

Couldn't have done it without you. Have a great night!

  • I’m not sure I like collaborations… I mean:
    Simon and Garfunkel
    Hall and Oats
McCartney and Lennon (My preference, just to piss off Yoko)

Collaborations require a little pamphlet to know who did what.

In this case using an “almost bass” for the primary motif leaves me wishing the whole thing was
    A 5th down.

What app is being used for those strings? Someone deserves credit for those samples.

That shaker and wood block is “to die for”.

The drummer in the mix is “hot”… I wish I could have been that hot in a mix from my studio days.

OK… I will await the PDF to assign credit and blame.

    Don't forget...
    Zappa & Beefheart
    Leslie West and Jack Bruce
    McLaughlin and Ponty
    Bowie and Metheny

I thought it was perfect. Left me some headroom... and footroom.

    Blocs Wave and iSymphonic

That shaker and wood block is “to die for”.

Don't do it. It's not worth it!

    Okey dokey.

Just give Paul the credit for the good stuff. I’ll take the blame for the bits you don’t like. He really made chicken salad with chicken feathers on this one.

  • I like collabs.
As of the last week, I had 3 collabs done, and I love 'em all.
I do have two more to do, and the last one is for a 12-year old girl, and the grandma did the lyrics, and I promised her that I would do it, and her B-day is next week, so I need to go to work, asap.
This Collab Work really sounds good, and I am enjoying this project.
    Great work, you two!!!

    Thank you Rene!
@Paulieworld really made the magic in this. If you have a chance to collaborate with him, I highly recommend it.
    Thanks again for listening!
