Personally I would skip the built-in 3.5mm jack as it will interfere if you connect an audio-interface to the hub.
This since iPadOS doesn't yet have a dedicated audio-control panel that lets us select which devices to use.
I've got the USB3.1 version of this...

(The new one is USB3.2)
The extra USB-C port can be used with the Apple USB-C->3.5mm dongle or a USB-C based audio-interface.
It's been rock solid with zero issues so far...
Cheers!

Just picked up a Kingston Nucleum after lots of recommendations on here for my iPad Pro M1.
Works for me has 1 powered usb C connection, 1 normal usb C connection, 2 USB 3.1 A old style connections, HDMI that works with a audio interface if you plug your interface in after theHDMI cable. Also SD and micro SD card slots. I just use the USB C to 3.5 my audio adapter for monitoring audio if need be or if I’m using a audio interface straight from that. Recommend a extension cable as well to take pressure off the connection to your iPad. The U Green one works fine.
Both bits of kit well built. Haven’t hit any snags or Apple problems.
