Screen upon tv

So my laptop died so all I have to work with is my iPad. Is there a way to have the screen on my iPad to be viewed on my iPad tv, it really would be ideal for mixing. I know I can do stuff like like with the YouTube app but is there a way to do it with my music apps???

  • AirPlay is the Apple baked-in method, but you need an AppleTV or some device that supports it to stream to.

How do I get airplay to work

  • Don’t forget Apple has HDMI and DVI adapters for all iPads (Lightning, USB-C). I like a USB-C hub with HDMI, power port, USB-C (2) USB-B (or is it A? The big rectangle cable) and a headphone jack. The power adapter must be +40W to power MIDI keyboards, Audio Interfaces, etc.

I hope HDMI fills the screen… never tried it myself.

Apple TV or a Mac Mini with mirroring would also be in the running.

iPad HDMI output does not fill an HD TV screen. It's an exact replica of the iPad 4:3 aspect ratio, like watching an old TV program. It fills the screen height, but not the width. It does fill the TV screen when you play a video in full-screen on the iPad.
