Hooking up a Launchpad x except….

I have everything hooked using the CCK and a powered hub but he Launchpad is stuck in demo mode.so not sure if I even have it hooked up correctly. Can someone lend a helping hand please

    I experienced that. A different USB cable resolved it for me. It’ll also do that if the cable is not pushed into the phone/iPad all the way. But for me it was the cable going from the hub to the iOS device.

    Yup, as soon as it detects a usb connection. Sounds like your setup is delivering power, but no data connection; dodgy cable probably.

    But do I need a usb cable that has males on each side so I can plug-in the cable from the CCK into my powered usb hub???

    Btw, try flipping the orientation of the cable. The cable that came with my Launchpad X has a definite top vs bottom and doesn’t work if it is upside down. I just get the light show if oriented wrong.

    I got my launchpad used and it came with no cables
