Celestial patches for AddStation

I'm back with another AddStation bank focused on ethereal sounds. If you missed my first one, it's linked below.

There's some homage to the Roland D50 - the first synth that made me totally lose my mind when I heard it in person. And a few patch designs inspired by some of my favourite YouTubers:)

Here's a short demo of some of the patches;

  • Nice! These are really good, and uber fun when using the expressive Addstation keyboard.

  • Awesome! Your the Master of AddStation.

  • @Edward_Alexander the inbuilt keyboard is indeed dope. I programmed these using my Kawai stage piano. Complete overkill but so fun.

    Thank you @VirSyn ! The results are largely exploratory and testament to the brilliance of your synth. I cried when my K5000 went south but this one fills the void:)

  • Thanks, these are excellent. I feel you about the K5000, thankfully mine is still alive and kicking.

  • Aw, heck yes! These are really superb, thank you!

  • Awesome @onkey my second favorite thing, behind a new free Au, or an app gone free. A new preset pack. Cheers!

  • Whoa, these are great. Just went through the first half or more and found every single one inspiring. Really well done.

  • As usual, I am struggling to understand the import process. I’ve clicked on one of the unzipped files and it has opened in Addstation. But then when I try to select all the files and move them to the “celestial” folder, I can’t because “move” is greyed out?

  • Another sonic success! Thanks for these, my friend.

  • Inspired! It makes me glad I have AddStation.

    I agree!

  • Awesome! Can’t wait to try them out. I’ve had so much fun with your other presets, thank you!

    Ooh. That "Guitar Sky" patch is gorgeous. Every one of these is a winner.

  • What's ypur opinion on Cube Pro? It honk it's great for snappy morph sounds that can't be done on AddStation.

    I don't use it much, but it's interesting if you're into long or complex morphing sounds.

    Enjoying this tremendously.
    Well done.

  • @Philandering_Bastard It’s a special synth. Finding a clean 240v replacement is a tough task 😢

    @lukesleepwalker thanks again for the love.

    @Kashi you could try unzipping the bank in AudioShare and importing the patches individually. Just 21 patches:)

    @Poppadocrock All the good things in life. And nothing beats free;)

    @LinearLineman thanks, I’m chuffed with how they turned out. Great synth.

    @Stochastically To think I almost passed it up as I already had Addictive Pro and an additive hardware synth. Glad I caved - it’s the most interesting and sonically pleasing synth I have, up there with Nave.

    @NeuM Guitar Sky, Metal Harp and Itopia were meant as fillers but turned out to be some of my favourites from both banks. Funny that…

    @Jer4 It’s a fun synth, so expressive!

    @frosttrance_7 don’t have Cube, just Addictive Pro. Deep synths each with a particular focus. Imagine Cube is the same.

    @ReneAsologuitar Pleased to hear:)

    Remember to tag me if you use these in a track.

  • Ho ho! Deleriously good! Exactly the kind of sounds I like to use. Top work! 🙏

  • Thanks @onkey - yes, ended up doing them individually, which, as you say, wasn't so bad. But the other day, for example, I was struggling to import some presets for FAC's Bandit, and there were over a thousand! Not so easy....

  • Thanks @Spidericemidas - my work is heavily inspired by you so no coincidence we like the same type of sounds;)

    Good to hear! Let's hope someone solves the [open in] enigma...

  • Thanks for these, Mate. I had fun with the last bank.

  • These are great. Thanks a million.

  • 🙌🙏thank u!

  • Just downloaded these. They’re great @onkey. I especially like all the portamentos you use. You’re up there with @Spidericemidas with these, my friend. Worth getting AddStation for your excellent banks.

  • I'm a sucker for pitch envelopes @LinearLineman. They should make them compulsory on every synth;) Most of the results are from experimentation so I encourage everyone to dig in. Learnt a bunch from @Spidericemidas on patch design. He's the GOAT.

    Here's one of the better explanations of Additive on the Tube. It's where the Benn's Melodica patch comes from:)

  • @Morgman73
    @Tamir_Raz_Mataz

    Pleased to hear chaps!

    Heads up that mod wheel gets you subtle variations in timbre for most patches. To increase it's strength, up the MWheel %s in [Part] mode.

    I love pitch envelopes. I'm enjoying applying them in Nambu patches at the moment.
    That was a great video on additive, very interesting what he was saying at the end about using it to make sound generation more cpu and memory efficient in games etc.
    Really digging your Celestial presets, especially Venus Theory and Cosmic Rays.
    Addstation is such a powerhouse and has really impressive sound quality.

    I'm trying my best to not buy more synths but if you ever decide to release a Nambu bank I'm in:)

    If you like programming and sound designing, I think you’d love Nambu! 😁
