  • Finding a very long hair when having a bath (not mine) then believing I have managed to ditch it over the side only for it to reappear several times over across my outstretched fingers.

  • Those "MIDI Pack" ads on YouTube... like nails on a chalkboard.

  • Is it actually possible to follow a lengthy, multi-participant conversation in a Youtube comments section? After years of use I'm still in the dark. Doesn't matter whether the responses are organised as 'most recent first' or 'most popular first', it always seems impossibly jumbled to me. It frustrates me no end that I'm unable to help the vast swathes of people on Youtube who have incorrect opinions.

It didn’t used to be that way. Google is very good at making their products worse, before eventually killing them off. Docs seems to get worse with every major change.

  • I was pretty annoyed that Apple TV had the broadcasting rights to the Cardinals Dodgers yesterday for Pujols 700th home run. A lot of older Cardinals fans didn’t get to see it

iOS apps with only rotary knob movement.

Also, when someone writes 10 paragraphs and then adds a succinct summary at the end prefixed with tl;dr. Do they think that stands for Too Long; DID Read?

YouTube Studio (for YouTube creators) is absolutely horrible to use on an ios device. The app is limited in functionality, the website is a complete nightmare. The amount of money these guys have and yet they can't make a decent mobile app or a website that works well on mobile devices.....

The lack of a headphone socket on my iPad, as this means I have to use the Apple USBC dongle for an audio line out (since the latest iOS update has broken my IDAM connection), but the flimsy piece of shite they provide keeps disconnecting (even though it doesn't do this when headphones are connected).

It's almost as if Apple don't want me to record live audio out of their iPads. They win - I give up.

Update: Today, during a mammoth ‘spring’ clean I found my much loved Air 2 that’d been missing for nearly two years, stuck behind the back of a radiator.

Aside from a totally flat battery it seems to be working ok, so when it’s fully charged I’m hoping to be able to use it again as a guitar fx, with audio out from the also much loved headphone socket.

I guess ‘radiators’ is now on my small things I hate list.

When a supposed Friend leaves you waiting, then postpones, then u wait, then they postpone then cancels after you’ve been waiting around for 5 hours. Yo just tell me straight up, what’s going on, don’t care if you have to cancel but don’t make me wait around all night to eventually cancel for no good reason. Expletive Removed. Lol.

  • Yeah, pops. I had a friend who would act excited on Monday about a party planned for the following Saturday and be totally in — until Saturday rolled around and he was nowhere to be found. It happened virtually all the time for years.

He was always measuring possibilities up until the last moment to choose the best event for him.

We fixed his wagon by telling him about a huge party we were planning for his birthday, and then when he showed up at the club (expecting a huge throng of “friends”) he was the only one there…

I’ve never been the vengeful type, but he totally earned that dis.

  • Oh, so another small annoyance: people who repeatedly say “anyways” when the word is actually anyway

There is no “s” at the end, okay?

    So it’s a “z” then?

  • Damn, Wim! You somehow alway totally find a way to nail things!

  • It’s “alwayz” not alway.

  • Notice I left the ‘s’ off “always” — trying to compensate for that whole “anyways” thing!

When I see people talking about great apps and then they are not available in the German App Store
YouTube because it doesn’t show me all new videos that are uploadedunder a specific search word even if I clicksort by upload date
Reels on Instagram because it doesn’t show me all new videos Under a hashtag anymore because its categorised as reels and youcant sort them chronologically
Instruments with only a few presets in them and the rest packs you have to buy extra but
you already paid for that instrument thinking you will have everything you need already there
Music apps that have no simple way to switch presets and you can only find them by clicking on each one because the writing is so small a visually impaired person cannot read it properly
That there seems to be nothing like mortplayer music on android for iOS where you can listen to music and audiobooks organised by folders not by tags

Was just talking about this at lunch yesterday. There should be an algo free raw mode like the old days.

  • I'm annoyed by all the corporate nagging. Apple is not as bad as they used to be, but even my electric toothbrush does this jerky thing to let me know how long I need to brush for. I know how to brush my teeth, I'm an adult and I've been doing it for years.

I wake in the morning, my toothbrush is bossing me, the microwave has prop 65 "this thing will kill you with cancer" signs all over it, it's beeping and beeping, so I yell at it- "I'm busy and apparently need to brush my teeth for several more minutes, f off", I get my cold coffee and leave, get in and start the car, there is a warning on the screen something about operating my car responsibly which I dismiss without reading, a woman's voice starts nagging me about my seatbelt, my passenger buckles her seatbelt behind her back and off we go, every time I go around a corner my car beeps at me to let me know there is something in front of my car, which I already see but the beeping makes me jump and jerk the wheel and I curse the modern world of adult babies we now live in.

  • That was super fresh when I typed that @SNystrom

That was all in one day.

Also, disclaimer asterisks are small and annoying.

Especially when there is no corresponding disclaimer to be found anywhere on the advert/packaging.*

  • When people use incomplete thread titles like "My new best production tip is ..." or "What's the best way to ..." or "Guess why I'm such a ..."

  • When I read a social media/forum post intended to manipulate the reader into responding. e.g.

"I bet no-one will respond to this".

The trick of course is that the reader is meant to experience an almost unbearable urge to inform the poster why no-one will respond, which means they've won.

  • The only thing that annoys me in life is iOS musicians thinking Logic is actually going to come to the iPad.

  • UK plugs: Only one position to put these monsters into the socket. A nightmare with wall warts on UPS systems and other extensions that have more than one row of sockets.

People who complain about the Files app and then say “I didn’t know it could do that” about a function that’s right in the menu. 😎👍🏼

Professional audio-oriented YouTube channels that have an unlistenable mix.

IOS DAW’s that would be perfect if they just had “that one function”.

People who don’t get that their beliefs are not the only beliefs.

When the coach of your “American” football team insists on going for a 4th and 1, at the wrong time, again and again, instead of kicking an easy field goal, only to have the team come back down and beat you in the final seconds by a field goal.

  • Stuck up musicians that look down their nose on others and see it fit to put down/insult other musicians because the other musicians have different workflows, musical tastes, etc. Luckily our forum doesn't often have that sort come around, but you can often find them scattered about at KVR, Dubstep Forum, Gearspace, etc. 🤣

    (Half-joking.)

Oh yes THIS I have been put down in other music forums/groups because I ONLY have an iPad and 25 keys midi keyboard and some rare instruments, many mass produced in China
these people said that one cannot make ´proper´ Musicwithn such an equipment if you don’t like my music or find it too unprofessional that’s fine then just leave it but nobody should be put down because of their equipment

Know who you mean. Said person took a jab at hobbying musicians here in another thread.

    @amethystswitch
-Create another username in offending forum.

-Post the creations of your offending gear but lie about which gear you’re using in your description. Careful to use enough of that particular “professional” gear’s jargon, yet remain satisfyingly vague. Ignore follow-up questions if you think you can’t wing it. I’m certain peoples’ comments will change in your favor.

    -Do this for one year.

-After one year expose yourself and your audience’s stupidity.

I don’t care enough to to follow thru with this myself, but I’d love to see someone avenge us! I wouldn’t be surprised if something similar hasn’t already been done.
