Night Stories Retold (a collaboration)
This is a collaboration between @Stuntman_Mike and @Paulieworld. Mike posted an extremely cool, deep groovin' track called 'Night Stories'. It knocked my socks off. The Stuntman kindly invited me to lay a few bits over the top.

Wow, wonderful vibes - I love it!!!
The driving guitar, vocal samples, sax - lovely 🥰
Reminds me of Fila Brazillia
You are a pro, I will share more about Out in the Wild with you…
A perfect blend of the original with some really great additions. Great collaboration!
Yeah, really great job!
I sent a draft with a few ideas to @Stuntman_mike
I suspect if he had the audio stems from both versions he could come up with something very interesting
I really liked that opening chord sequence and the break into the drums, so I made it a point not to step on those.
I thought it turned out pretty good. Glad you liked it!
Thank you! I have been getting familiar with StaffPad. Writing with an Apple pencil will take some getting used to. I've been listening to orchestral music to get some ideas to start with. I think the best way for me is to find something I like and try to simulate it. A few years ago I did a version of Patsy Cline's 'Crazy' as a waltz, using a program called Notion. Maybe I'll do a few covers just to get started. Looking forward to trying some collaborations with you and @McD.
Simulate something you like is a good way to go, you could also rework one of your existing track from scratch. It is also good exercice to imagine a melody and build an arrangement around.
You'll get used to the pen. I found it easier to use the pencil with a paperlike screen protector, very close to the real thing. tempered glass type of protector is a no go for me.
The Collab Work is shining through like a star.
The vocal samples are excellent. The musicality of the both of you is on great display.
The sax is super groovy.
Love this Collab Work.

🙌
Listened to this before the original… the original is excellent but the collaboration takes it to another level…
