  • Wow!!! So happy with this news.

  • I’ve been holding off on buying these new GSI releases but that GS-201 has my name all over it. Looking forward to checking it out!

  • Space Echo - yes please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I’m very excited for the space echo, I’ve used it on desktop and it’s nice

  • The space echo, dope.

  • Does that spring reverb really have an area where you can hit it to rattle the springs? That’s kind of cool.

I wonder how hard it is for the average desktop developer to port to iOS?

Seems to me successful desktop plugins and apps can make additional monies/profit on iOS if the conversion is fairly pain-free. Is it that the algorithms are difficult to convert?

    I’m no developer, just curious.

Great question!! Counting these..this dev has ported 6 plugins to IOS in one months time. Amazing 👏🏾👏🏾 GSi showing how it's done

Yeah! Perhaps his coding ability is superior or organized for easy conversion… It is advantageous for folks who use his apps on desktop to buy them for mobile at a fraction of the cost and take their workflow on the road. My other question is: If the conversion is small could iOS sales be accounted for with desktop sales? …if that makes sense 😂

  • Space echo! Oh yeah!

That was one of my favorite things about my Moog Grandmother. Hitting the side and hearing that spring reverberate.

  • Time verb looks cool but I’m really excited for the space echo. Awesome!

  • I want that space echo too. 😳 Especially for Ambient.

  • I got ToneStack and there is a Space Echo in the pedal, but I'm not sure how close it sounds compared to the real thing.

Frankly, it sounds like shit... sorry but compared to GSI‘s it‘s just like that o:)
The GSI dude is very passionate about realism of his emulations...
ps: a main feature of the (original) Space Echo is the timing of head distance, Roland choose settings that work in a musical way almost automatically.

  • Don't sleep on his other echo apps. Both different but both sound incredible.

  • count me in 👌

  • Incidentally, has anyone purchased and used GSI’s “GenuineSounds Vol. 1, Piano Edition”? I wonder how they manage to fit all of those sampled piano sounds into such a compact app.

  • Def keen on a good Space Echo emulation, although I won't be able to justify the spend for a while (too many apps lately).

I believe the app comes empty and you have to download the sounds, see this post.

  • Picked up the other tape echo and delays from GSI highly recommended. Looking forward to these coming out.

Aha. That makes more sense. 8 GB library total.

Incidentally, Cherry Audio is selling their own version of the Roland Space Echo tape delay (they call it the "Stardust 201") for desktop (Windows and macOS) for $9.00 right now. And it's the same price on their site and at a reseller like Pluginboutique (which is where I bought it). The usual price for Cherry Audio's emulation is listed as $29.00, so I jumped on it... and it really sounds great, up to their usual high-quality standards.

Yeah. Just more reasons to love Cherry Audio.
