So I bought rhino to use as my main guitar sim. But I’m only getting a dry signal and I don’t see any settings, how do I fix this?.

Post pictures of how you have it set up.

Are you using it standalone or in a host?

    Stand-alone screenshot coming

  • Ok I got it going with sound since this rhino is new to me, any suggestions on this app like tips or suggestions, if you have any tips for me getting a good tone I would appreciated it

It says the input is muted. No signal is going into Rhino.

If you are hearing guitar signal, you probably either have another app running that is thru-ing your signal or you have input monitoring turned on on your interface.

  • My monitors suck for this so does my audio technicax40 headphones.my monitors are cr-4 I just can’t get it to sound great as I want so is it my headphones/monitors or is it that I don’t have rhino set up correctly???

Since you haven't posted audio, there is no way to know. In your screen cap, Rhino is not involved in the sound at all.

  • Not to b*tch about it, but, you have a lot of questions lately.... have you tried it yourself, do you have any idea what you are doing, anyway? Seems to me every new step is a question.

Well I apologize but if I had a question and the only way to get the answers that you need is to answer questions. Imsureyou have been in the same place where I stand before….

As for everyone else who has helped me figure this out I would like to thank you. I send my gratitude towards your direction

  • Hi @jdolecek49 - never fear to ask questions. The more detail you can provide, such as screenshots, etc, the quicker the right answers will come.

I'm going to hop in here unasked, and suggest you work toward using AUM or another host and the plugin, not standalone versions of most apps. I posted a screenshot for you in another thread of a typical simple guitar signal chain set up in AUM. The huge advantage there is you can swap out any component for another without having to go through the audio setup issues every time. Once you've got your input and output working in AUM, the signal chain can be completely flexible.

I think you use Cubasis. This is really, really helpful there as well. You can record the dry signal from your guitar, while hearing the FX. Want to change the sound - no problem, since the dry track is what is going through the FX chain.

    Just a suggestion.

  • You could always just use a host…

  • Questions are always welcome in my opinion, we all started somewhere.

  • Thanks everyone

  • @jdolecek49 : you might want to change the thread title and add (solved)

Posting a message with the solution would also be helpful if someone comes to the thread with the same problem.
