Recording audio and midi
Now I finally got th-u and rhino working strong for me. I’m also planning on using X- drummer along with it. I had been using cubasis but that was just when I was recording midi so now I need a strong daw that will be good for recording audio along with midi-and X-drummer so would Auria be good for this or should I stick with cubasis.thought. Would ask because aura looks ideal for mixdown….I will also need effects compression, eq ect. Would you recommend internal effects or do you guys use 3rd party effects to use with your daw?

I don’t use Cubasis as my main DAW but lots of people do and it is one of the more user-friendly and is capable as MIDI and audio recorder. I would suggest that if you already have it then stick with that for now until you find something it does not do that you need it to do. I would have the same advice for any effects you were thinking of using, just stick to the ones in Cubasis unless you find something lacking or missing as they are mostly pretty good from what I have read. Cubasis is also one of the better supported DAWs in terms of YouTube tutorials and support from the developer so it would be a good one to use if you think that you will need assistance.
I would say to leave Auria to one side for now as you already have a DAW capable of making full songs. One of Auria’s strong points is audio but unless you are already at the point that you have a song ready to mix then it is something you can focus on later.
How are you finding X-Drummer? It is not an app I see mentioned very often.
Cubasis and Audio Evolution Mobile would be my first choice for recording linear audio and MIDI tracks. Both have sufficiently good effects on board with AEM having an edge with its excellent Toneboosters effects that you can IAP as desired.
As mentioned. There's no reason to consider Auria Pro unless you run into something particular that you need to do that Cubasis doesn't do and Auria does.
Totally 👍 agree.
