Using a midi controller app on Android phone to control AUV3 in AUM via bluetooth
I assume this must be possible... But I have totally failed to do it... I've tried a couple of different Android controller apps, but I can't even see the phone bluetooth on the ipad, or in AUM.
TBH, I don't really know what im doing with midi bluetooth, but I kinda thought it'd be straight forward... Maybe I'm missing something fundamental.
Can anyone help?

You’re going to need some kind of BLE Midi service on the Android device that can advertise it as a peripheral. Last I checked some months ago, I never found anything.
The controller app is going to need to recognize the BLE Midi service as a Midi device as well.
I hate to say it, but you’re probably fighting a losing battle to try to get an Android phone to work well with an iPad. Seems like this question has come up a lot and there’s never been a satisfactory answer.
Definitely not so difficult with an iPhone, and if you want to stick with Android, maybe you could let ok for a cheap, used iPhone just for this purpose?
Never tried with an android phone. An old iPhone or iPad should fill that basic need. You can get an older, used one, for a pretty low price. Especially if you don’t need much storage, and go Wi-Fi only.
uh! thanks people,
. I shall officially abandon my android attempts (seems a great way to waste time...) and pick up an old iphone for this.
What do you consider a minimum iphone model version that'd work for this?
Cheers!
