Cubasis 3 automation question

when I continue to change an AU parameter while recording automation on loop, Cubasis seems to write over the previous (from last loop) automation curve in ‘a discontinuous fashion’. it is as if alternatingly parts from the actually recording and the previous curve get mixed (no snapping to grid or quantization is set). is this a (known) bug?

Have you also posted this to the Steinberg forum?
This is definitely how it should NOT work...
...I'm quite sure @LFS and his team is quite aware of this behavior already.
In short to 'fix' this issue when recording automation old/existing automation should be over-written as long as the knob/value that is automated is being adjusted by the user. (ie. 'punch-in' recording of automation).
