Host for the 8180?
So I bought the nembrini 8180 and I wanted to use their version of the tube screamer but I tried to load it in AUM and I went thru audio unit along with inter app audio but did not see it at all. I got the screamer loaded but get it in AUM…..do I need to use some other yep of host? Your help is really appreciated

They will both load in AUM...load the AUv3 not the inter-app audio version.
If it is not listed in AUM, try rebooting your ipad
Did you try loading it in an FX slot or as an input? It must go in the FX position. Your guitar interface goes in the input.
Somewhere within the last few weeks I posted a screenshot of an example FX chain in AUM I don't have a copy of it right now. If you're stuck, I'll post another example.
That's good you bought one Nembrini app. This developer became my favourite for amp sims ! And they include very decent set of cab IR inside the app which can bring a lot of sonic variation!
If you have a screenshot of your problem it might be easier for us to understand. My first recommendation, as @wim mentioned would be to check if you insert the app in FX slot. It is a pretty common mistake I keep making myself too.
I got it but I have to say I have yet to get a decent sound out of it yet but maybe I need to spend some more time tweaking
Can you describe what you don’t like about the sound? I’m starting to think there’s something amiss with your overall set-up or gainstage and levels.
@jdolecek49 : a couple of things, the presets that come with Nembrini amps are not very good imo. The amps are great, but I find it better to set up from scratch rather than use a preset.
For me, the place to start is finding the right input level for the guitar. I try to set the amp dials to what should be a clean sound and then tap on Rack to show the input level knob.
My pickups are hot and I have to turn the input level down quite a bit.
Once that is done I tap rack again to go to the main display and start adjusting to get the gain and tone I want.
Sometimes I may need to return to that rack page to turn up the input if I need to drive the amp harder.
Please make screen recordings of the sound you are getting so that we can hear what you are hearing.
You are right I just need to spend some time and learn something’s with these sims
I’m coming to find out that I just need to upgrade my monitors, I have a set of mackie cr3 so I think it’s the mid range type sound coming out of them is what I dislike
Nembrini as a free host were you an load all their app you have installed on your device.

If you want to use other companies app you should get a traditional host like Cubasis or a modular host like AUM or Audiobus.
OP has AUM. I think he just needs help learning how AUM works.
I did not know that. But Live rig is super easy to use for a beginner and free 😎
@jdolecek49 - if monitors are a problem, you might want to consider headphones temporarily. In particular, combined with the TB Morphit program, which helps compensate for different headphone profiles, even inexpensive earbuds can be a fairly satisfying experience.
That would help determine if the speakers are the issue.
