Anyone would have to be mad to post their music here

No way I’d post any of my music here, I don’t fancy exposing myself to criticism like that. I mean, not that I’d pay any attention to criticism, I wouldn’t, I’d ignore it. Same with suggestions how to alter the work after I’ve already done it, sod that, it stays how I’ve done it. Nobody comes up to an abstract artist and tells them they’ve done it incorrectly. It’s art. There was no spec, it’s how it is.

The last thing I’d let happen is accidentally uploading track 1 of my forthcoming album to Snoudcloud and accidentally posted the link here
https://soundcloud.com/ian-k-tindale/in-the-end-youll-be-satisfied/s-Om3tTS4HsHR?si=14175e30a9dd4d118831e58595029315&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing

Oops, how did that happen? Oh well.
No need to listen to it, it’ll be released soon anyway (unaltered). Don’t bother critiquing it, or praising it, I’ll ignore it all and carry on regardless. (It started life in Gadget, long ago).

Gotta do the videos. Somehow. Need to do a live performance in front of camera.

Sorry if I take it personally and if it was not your intention but it seems you're referring to @richardyot recent track. Many people commented on his work on that thread, but I can only speak for myself.
Richard is the only member of this forum who I dare to give recommendations to. It is not a question of artistic ego dictatorship. We built a certain level of musical "intimacy" over the years and I consider him as the musical brother I wish I had in real life. We have been collaborating on many songs, Richard has also been very supportive of my music over the years. I recently sent him a few of my songs asking him for feedback and also to proofread my poor english. And he kindly did. We openly exchange critics about our respective work. I deeply respect him as an artist and I trust his ears so I always take in consideration any of his recommendation. Hopefully he feels the same too. But I agree with your point of view. Artistic recommendations can be seen as offensive coming from some complete stranger. At the same time, recommendations can help an artist to grow.
I personally would also value any of your recommendations. You're one of the member on this forum I enjoyed reading the most, years before I registered. And if you don't want to share your music in here, it is perfectly fine, though a bit sad because you have a singular sarcastic view on things that is pretty much needed these days.
    Enough with pink flowers.
Something I wanted to ask you for a long time, are you related to Jacques Tati? The resemblance is staggering especially with the mask.

PS: Sorry for commenting, I know you don't care but nice David Byrne meets Syd Barrett vibe.

  • Cool track, brimming with individuality and English eccentricism.

  • I know you don't want me to comment, but oh well... Love me some vocals and Gadget gone punk.
I think that pic from @AudioGus should somehow make it into your clip. Unbelievably perfect post all round. Thank you all.
No need to wait for the end I believe I am now satisfied.

It’s subtle, but he was asking for comment, just saying the opposite.

Here's a second test pressing, second track on the forth coming al bum No Laments for Pale Sunsets, this one's called Aura of Past Life (and it's actually about Kirlian Photography (don't ask)) – private link:

This (as do all my songs since last weekend) makes use of my new Roland E-4 voice tweaker

  • Yeah @JanKun, @TheOriginalPaulB has it sussed. The OP has often taken us on a trip through the looking glass. It’s the don’t think of an elephant approach. Effective and nice tracks, too.

Despite wanting it all to stop, I couldn’t stop listening to both tracks in their entirety. But how?
If you were an act, this is precisely the kind of establishment I would want to be sharing drinks with friends.

    Sounds like Morrissey…

Incidentally, the synth lead-line is Montpellier (in LPX, but with the CC wiggling I originally did in Gadget)

This one’s called “Summer Has Her Plan” (it’s a summer song, so a bit late now, but there’s next year…)

    https://soundcloud.com/ian-k-tindale/summer-has-her-plan/s-Ivu5oU9AMpf?si=789d16fd17e54eaab16ec2bec76a7eed&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing
After rescuing the LPX file (which somehow confused a lot of the track stacks with already existing effect auxes, screwing all my work up) and pretty much starting again without the previous synth track recordings, this one ended up mostly Korg Opsix — and not even the real Opsix, I didn’t have space to put it out — it’s all Opsix Native (requiring track freezing). But I’m really liking Opsix Native as a synthesis interface (better than the physical synth - bigger screen for a start). (I say mostly Opsix, there’s one or two Gadget macOS instruments (including Kingston !)).
