I understand that u like the concept and method of working, but I couldn't care less about what stockhausen thought, I have other fetish.
"In November 1995 The Wire published an article, "Advice to Clever Children". During the production of an interview a package of tapes with music from several artists (including Aphex Twin) was sent to Karlheinz Stockhausen, who said:
I heard the piece Aphex Twin of Richard James (sic) carefully: I think it would be very helpful if he listens to my work "Song of the Youth", which is electronic music, and a young boy's voice singing with himself. Because he would then immediately stop with all these post-African repetitions, and he would look for changing tempi and changing rhythms, and he would not allow to repeat any rhythm if it varied to some extent and if it did not have a direction in its sequence of variations.[21]
James (an admirer of Stockhausen) replied, "I thought he should listen to a couple of tracks of mine: "Digeridoo", then he'd stop making abstract, random patterns you can't dance to".[21]"

lala, given your talent as composer, why not write a video on audio DEMO for "SOLO [Nr.19]"?
or an audio version of DEMO "SOLO" (Stockhausen)?
You can choose the FORM-SCHEME you want ... (2 and 6 have not been done ... for now);
you might think to offer it in the next release, right?
If I did indeed, I'd be thrilled!
the solo app is for acoustic (mono) instruments, I haven't touched a real piano for years ...
I poked a little around with it with electronic sound but I didn't like what I did so I gave up pretty quick, I was also in the beta cycle
lala, a version for electronic sounds (as you have demonstrated the ability to use in SoundCloud) would be fantastic and I think it would be met Karlheinz (he admired his son Simon who worked with electronic sounds as well as Markus who has made a version for trumpet etc..), think about it!

No no, you misunderstood me, sea and birds is NOT done with the solo app it's completely digital synthesis and needed much more CPU power then iPads have (it was just an example of what I think a good concept is, you don't need to know what is going on (as a listener) but it's convincing ) ...
As I said I have no idea how to use it in an interesting way, maybe ppl who use live loopers are better persons to talk to about this. I wasn't of any help, lol.
I can't stand Mozart. I recognise his prowess, but the style and harmonic content of his day does absolutely nothing for me...
Hi all - I tried reading the thread but I'm still confused as to which of the demos posted so far were actually done with this app.
None of them are done with the app.

I apologize to "thinds" and reply to "GovernorSilver", but the first two clips of this topic have been carried out with "SOLO [Nr.19]" of apeSoft… :-|
Yes sorry @GovernerSilver, I'm not quite awake yet it seems.
Thanks, Kolox_8259 and thinds! Looking forward to trying the app. I may someday invest in the IAP to support the developer's work.

I wish you much success GovernorSilver!

I would advise anyone looking at this, not to put to fine a point on it, RTFM!! It's a patch to emulate the delay system designed by Stockhausen for one specific piece: SOLO (Universal Edition UE14789). The original was just a tad unwieldy (see here for pic) Unless you're preparing a performance of it, the app is of no use to you (as the author clearly states).
@joeO there is an option to use the live setting and feed sounds into the app to get, depending on your sources and tastes, some interesting sounds going.
Thanks for digging up this thread...very interesting App and it was updated and shows LINK in the logo and is 25€...
Not sure that Link is enabled at this stage. There's nothing in settings or any mention in the app description or manual.
Sorry you're right, I had another app opened in AB that has Link...
Did you do or use the app a lot? I have to still dive into the manual to get it...
Cheers
Actually there is something...open Audiobus and load iVcs3 and Solo...each show Link...
That's what I saw before...
yes, but you didn't need to see bowies dress and red hair to fly away with the music
I've used it as a filter in a few releases. It's software that I find intriguing. The manual itself is pretty straightforward (and I'm someone who hates reading them).
I'm not really certain developers have 'fishing' in mind when deciding on a price. If an app is relevant only for a niche, then a higher price is absolutely validated to even have a chance at recuperating development costs.
