I was quite interested in iYM2151 way, way back, but since it's not been updated in ages and has no proper 'export' and priced in the upper end I never got it.

The developer (Detune) however is responsible for iDS-10 and work(ed)s closely with Korg on Gadget so we might see something similar pop up in Gadget...

Anyways, iYM2151 is FM synth done the 'classic' style.
    Here's a demo I found on YouTube...

Lot's of clips on the app home-page too, it's a pretty complete app...

Meanwhile I'm happy with Deflemask (tracker mac, win & linux) that uses the same 'emulation core' for FM-Sounds...

  • Thanks for the Deflemask tip, Samu.

Since @hwangman is using Gadget, I'm surprised Kamata (4 bit) wasn't mentioned.

Thanks @Paul16, I hadn't hear of Bliss Pad before. Interesting little app.

    Edit: heard....bloody auto correct

No bliss on air 2 iOS 8.4 InstaCrash(TM)

Crikey! Been a while since my name was mentioned here. Just downloaded this, as I had completely forgotten its existence. Air 1. 9.2, launch caused iPad to freeze and after a reboot it just crashes on launch. Deleted again and consigned to history.

We talk about you all the time, but always in the break room with the taps running....

As for Bliss, a pity. I have a few loops made with it from way back which I really like the sound of now. We miss what's gone but often only when it is @thinds :)

Shame, another one falls by the wayside.

If not previously mentioned, Scythe, synthQ & SpaceLab can all create decent lo-res blips & bleeps.
