That's The Way of The World, Earth Wind and Fire 1975

That's the Way of The World is the sixth studio album by American band Earth, Wind & Fire, released on March 15, 1975 by Columbia Records. It was also the soundtrack for a 1975 motion picture of the same name.

To the beautiful people of Davao City, especially to Batch 1978 of Davao City High School!!!

Recorded with all the mistakes, and mis-steps we take in our lives.
Hope Peace and Love!!!

  • Don’t know the song @ReneAsologuitar but a great performance, full of energy that one 👍 Likes the guitar playing !

  • Are you performing? I can see that in Seattle

  • Brings back great memories of my first year in college. First time away from home. It was very popular at the time and played frequently in the clubs. Back then we dressed up to go out! Great choice and arrangement. Very nicely done.

    Hi LinearLineman,
My son has a band, and performing in Seattle, and Clarissa is his back-up singer.
    The band name is SendaiEra.
I am performing in our local "Senior Center", and I am having a lot of fun.
Singing for an hour is quite a lot of songs.
I am also engaged in three churches, providing music for Masses, with my wife.
And our church engagements will even be busier soon, as we were asked to increase our Mass Music support.
Last week, Clarissa sang four of our recorded songs in the Senior Center, they loved it, and the folks there do not even know these newer songs.
I also love it, when we play music for Mass, and it is only me and my wife and my acoustic guitar.
I always love it, when folks come up and say how solemn and sacred our music is, (and that's with the guitar)
    Thanks for asking Mike!!!
    Respectfully,
    Rene

  • Funny how sometimes you think you don’t know a song by the title but then you realize it’s something you know after all. Great song and a great performance.

  • What a fine rich voice you have.

    I didn’t hear any mistakes.

    It sounded perfect to me.

Do you take requests? I’d love to hear you sing the Bill Withers song “Grandma’s Hands.” 🙂

    Hi MadeofWax,
Thank you for the great feedback!
Yes, we might not remember the title, but great songs when heard even once, can stick in our memories, and that is a good thing.
You are so appreciated, my friend!!!

    Hi rottencat,
As MadeofWax mentioned above, I do not recall this song, but I will take a listen, and even wanna learn how to play this song, for you, my friend.
It might take me while, but I will try to learn how to interpret Bill's "Grandma's Hands".
Thank you for the song suggestion.
    Love it!!!

    Rene

  • Thank you @ReneAsologuitar!

The abundant soulfulness of your voice and performances combined with the relatively simple means reminded me of Bill Withers. That’s a compliment I don’t give lightly.

I eagerly look forward to your version.

  • HI rottencat,
Your huge compliments are so loved!!!
I listened to Bill Wither's "Grandma's Hands", and this is no easy song to cover.
I am hoping I can cover this excellent song, and keep Bill smiling at the same time.
    Thank you so much.
    Respectfully,
    Rene

  • Rene, I feel sure that from what I’ve seen of your formidable talent and graceful spirit Bill will be grinning from ear to ear.

    So will I. 🙂

  • HI rottencat,
    Your huge compliment is beloved.
And I am progressing ok with your lovely song by Bill Withers!!!
I cannot thank you enough to introducing me tenths classic.
    With love and respect,
    Rene
