acapella maker apps

are there any that are not subscription based ?

Is that a genre?
Roland seems to have something for 4 channels of Audio and video based on a hardware unit as I recall for IOS.
(NOTE: I can’t find the Roland hardware but I know a Facebook creator that uses one).
It’s the Roland GO:Mixer Pro.
I'm guessing you mean apps that separate vocals from the rest of a mix?
But what do you mean by "that record audio and video"? These kind of apps generally take a piece of audio and break it into Drum, Bass, Vocal, and "Other" parts. Some, like Koala, can take audio from a video clip.
Are you saying you want something that can record a video of a musical performance, then separate out the vocals from it?
I don't know of any that record video.
Koala can record audio and separate out vocals from a mix. The feature is included for free. It's primarily meant for short audio files though.
Let's Unmix is a dedicated app. It doesn't record anything. You'd need to record some other way, then separate out the audio file. There are several ways to do that, and at least a few threads on that topic here.
Roland has an app called 4XCAMERA that I think my Facebook friend used to post videos where he played multiple nstruments. He also used the GO:Pro Mixer as his audio interface. He owns a music store so he probably got into it from the Roland Rep.
something like this, but i’m looking for not subscription based.

I tried several, including 4XCamera. The problem was the video and audio would not stay in sync because iDevices drop frames intentionally to make the video more efficient. It gets worse the longer the video is as you would expect. I can’t remember how these apps made it worse but they did. I gave up and got Lumafusion and Auria. I recorded the audio on my iPad with Auria and video on my iPhone. I then used the wave form to line things up. I also had to change some things on my camera to make it so it was less efficient and less frames would drop.
I made several videos like where I played multiple instruments. One had 5 instruments. You can check them out here: https://youtube.com/user/XulSolarBand
It takes a lot of work to get it right.
UPDATE: I found the thread where I described the problems.
“ NOTE: There's a real issue with mobile devices and recording in variable frame rate. Clips will eventually go full kung-fu style lip-syncing the longer they run. I had to record the audio and video seperately and line them up in Lumafusion which shows the audio waveform of the video clips in the timeline. Other apps, like "iMovie", "Accapella" and "Roland's 4x Camera" just couldn't get it done. One thing that helps is to change your iPhone camera format from "High Efficiency" to "Most Compatible".”
