It was all good until… I’d rather buy Russian gas.
So does anyone like these? It didn’t seem to be well received so maybe I should just save my money and keep using an iPad for a mpe controller
I actually do like mine very much. After getting over that the pitch bend is plain fiddly and doesnt work. But the velocity and pressure sensitivity is surprisingly good. It has some flaws, but at its price it’s well worth the money. Plus it’s so cute!
I received my K-Board C on Friday. It definitely takes some effort and experimentation with changing several parameters to get things to work well (including parameters on the K-Board itself and parameters within the music app on the iPad you are trying to control). If you don't want to deal with that amount of "tweaking," you probably would be happier with an integrated MPE controller and synth (Osmose) or hardware that has complementary software (Roli Seaboard combined with Equator synth). However, for $110 USD, I now have an MPE controller that works very well with the SWAM instruments in GeoShred. I can play a modeled saxophone that sounds incredibly expressive and nuanced (growl, vibrato, etc.).
Any chance you're referring to the QuNexus? That one is USD 200 new in the US

Hi, I'm in the UK. I just took delivery today of a white K-Board-C, which I purchased from Amazon UK, who imported it from Amazon US, for £115. You can get the lime green version for £114 via the same route at the moment, but other colours now range from £165 to £222. I'm absolutely made up with my K-Board-C in snow. It looks great, it's compact, and feels great quality. I'm raising the money to pay for it by selling my Korg NanoKey Studio, which besides its bluetooth functionality, just doesn't work for me.
I actually bought the K-Board because I needed an MPE controller, for some new software I was gifted (Slate + Ash Auras), but already fell in love with the other features too, and am loving being able to toggle/hold keys, which is great for building drone beds, and washes using layered samples in Ableton Live. I've not tried it with my iPad or iPhone yet, but will probably take it with me when I head out to the beach tomorrow, as it's small enough and sturdy enough to go in my bag with me.
And now I must go, because I'd rather be at that lovely K-Board than my laptop keyboard. If you can get one at the right price (£115 was the right price for me. I would never have paid £200+ for one), then I highly recommend it.

Is this Bluetooth or usb? Looks great! I’ve been interested in one for a while. Might have to get one now
The keyboard has a single USB C port. I am using a USB-C to USB-C cable and connected the K-Board to a CME WIDI Uhost (which I already owned). This allows me to connect the K-Board to my iPad via Bluetooth (along with an X-Key Air and an iRig Blueboard for sustain and expression pedals).

In Sweden it's so much more expensive, despite a 25% drop. The Swedish Crown has taking some real bad punches and are severely depressed which makes anything outside the border so much more expensive, including the app store. For $110 I think I would have gone for it.
I'm loving mine very much. So much so, I'm wishing I'd bought two, as they're no longer available for £115 here in the UK. I bought the last one on Amazon at that price. I love the pads/keys. Such a lovely feel, and the MPE controls are pretty sweet. Just the tool for my current project.
Does this keyboard have squishy push down aftertouch, like the seaboard? Or is it a tilting of the keys from front to back for aftertouch?
The keys are a firm silicone that have only a small amount of give. You can assign parameters to tilting or to pressure.
