Shifting Sands

This turned out to be a bit bleaker than I was planning …

Exploring the use of harmonics and bow positions in GeoViola the scratchy unstable sounds inspired the title.

  • Nice man! This made me feel like a mouse in the dessert avoiding snakes and spiders in that cold and dark world!

  • This is gorgeous. On this piece, you're wandering in my most favourite part of the Audio Modelling strings realm. Great work !

  • Bleak is good!

  • People seem to like bleak around here… I know I do. It seems to scratch an itch in my soul.

This is really good sound engineering… the bugs did get to me a bit.

  • I really like this. I can see how it might seem bleak to some, but as someone who dwells in the darkness, I found this to be comfortably uplifting.

Totally agree. There was an impending feeling of success over adversity in it for me.

  • I didn't find this to be bleak, at all. The word that comes to my mind is 'mysterious'. Very well done, Tony!

  • Excellent! Very atmospheric and nice choice of sounds.

  • Sounds amazing, definitely not bleak in my opinion
