It was made universal earlier this month (v1.7), 1.8 is only adding a few nice-to-haves and fixing bugs

  • My mistake, prompted bý this in my updates and the Appstore page. Only have tried it out as standalone…

I guess the list in the “What’s New” blurb repeats…
true ive noticed this in Multitrack Daw update blurb…

  • I think it’s the Instrument plugin mode that’s new

Could be it now loads as an instrument as well as an fx, or maybe it’s the Mac OS part. I don’t know don’t have this one

  • Well it is quite different as before if you wanted to depend solely on BC you had to do your project in standalone and then export a sound file and apply FX whatnot. This is pretty cool but I can't get multi out to work but maybe it's not prepared for that yet (?).

  • Only works on newer MacBooks by the looks of it. Funny how some ported iOS apps show up on Mac OS and others you need the latest M1 to use them.

I expect it depends on whether the app has been compiled for Intel, or is ARM-only. Whether the dev has ported the app to Mac OS, or is simply allowing the iOS app to run on Mac.

  • Until the recent update, you could install the iOS version but it didn’t really work in Logic and the in app file management didn’t work so well on macOS.

With the recent updates , it now works as an actual macOS app and works great in Logic as an effect AND instrument. It now has in app file management and works very well in Logic!

Same for the recent updates to Spacefields. And Vintage Rack.

I LOVE these apps on macOS in Logic now! :)
