Touch Theory - genius tool or ripoff?
Today in the KVR Bitwig subforum someone created a new thread Bitwig + IPAD COOL COMBO with a youtube video demoing a kind of composer tool running on an iPad and Bitwig recording its output. Of course I had to check it out but raises lots of question marks.
In the video description the author offers to send you the Lemur application by email after you have payed him 49 bucks via paypal. What do you think? Terrible marketing fail of an enthusiast or ripoff?

Seems crazy complicated. Just get Scaler or ChordJam and call it a day.
Also it’s not an “application” it’s a Lemur/OSC template.
Must have taken him quite a bit of time to organize it and build it…but he should make a Lite version people can download and test out before opting for the full $50 version.
Seems like it had a UX testing of 1 person…it doesn’t seem very approachable or fun to use. Feels like a big chart with text on it. It would be better as an isomorphic layout or something similar than the huge grid i see in the demo.
Is there a manual for it?
Agree, it looks complicated. Still seems genius but designed for the maker. Plus Lemur will be gone soon, so not much future for this.
😂
For me this thing looks like the personal tool of an enthusiast and now he wants to monetize it. But the tool is in a state where you really can’t sell it to anyone. Lemur’s end of life being the final nail in the coffin.
+1.
Although I'm going to use Lemur on my old iPads for another few years for sure, for lack of a better alternative.
