They are finally making an app that generates something to fight my lack of talent and overall lazyness to finish tracks![ ](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
Can’t import audio clips????!!!! 😧
Call me an old tart.
Ableton Note? It can import audio yes...but I don't know the sample length limitation (Haven't bought it yet)
I’d buy that for a dollar.
It can’t import audio.

You can import samples shared from other IOS apps into the Note sampler using the share sheet![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
It can import audio. I just did it. Pick a new clip. Go to Sample, Import Clip, path to the iPad File Selector, pick an audio clip, load it.
Logic approaching
Is it you?

"Can Note host AUv3?
Audio Unit v3 devices are not available in Note, since this would not be compatible with Ableton Live on Windows."
So it looks like this will never happen so that it's compatible cross platform, makes sense.
Swedish Mafia has a new line of products at IKEA
You can import audio - that’s good. I don’t find myself getting too exited about this one though.
Yes I was referring to Note. 😁
This is looking more and more like “Reason Compact with a bit of actual follow-through,” and I’m really liking it so far!
Very interesting to see the general difference in reception though — both are sharply-scaled-down and offer easy one-way integration with their desktop counterparts but little to no connectivity with the iOS ecosystem. I’m seeing a lot of goodwill for Note whereas RC was almost universally hated. RC is free-to-start but costs a heck of a lot more than Note if you start unlocking engines, and it was marketed as being more advanced than it is, so the icier attitudes make sense. But I hope the goodwill continues and Ableton continues to invest in iOS!

Keep dreaming, Nostradamus!
Was that PiP video ad intentional or coincidental. Lol.
I saw, can’t import audio then looked at the video with the guy who has his hand on his face in disappointment. Almost too fitting.
Huh. Weird. I’m glad it can but it’s conflicting.
That and the PLAY SOUND button makes it entirely too meta.
