Mitosynth doesn't show up in Cubasis as IAA

Hi everyone
as the title says I can't see Mitosynth as IAA in Cubasis. I tried the following steps without any success:
1. Restarted my ipad
2. Deleted and re-installed Mitosynth
3. Deleted and re-installed Cubasis
4. Deleted and re-installed Mitosynth after re-installing Cubasis.
Does anyone have the same problem? I dont know what else to do. Btw I checked Mitosynth with Auria, BM2, MTDAW, MTS, Meteor and it shows up, so it seems that I have this problem only with Cubasis. Thanks

  • It's there - but are you perhaps looking for it as an 'Insert Effect', instead of as an IAA 'Input' under 'Routing'? ;)

  • John at Musicappblog mentioned something about Mito showing up as an audio source via IAA but not in the MIDI list -> http://www.musicappblog.com/mitosynth-update/

IAA worked for me under the routing option in Cubasis. It doesn't show up as an IAA effects option in Cubasis. Running the latest iOS and latest version of the apps on an iPad mini retina. It was also recognized for midi routing too. It's my understanding that Mitosynth receives midi but does not transmit midi.

So it does have MIDI IAA. This is Rashomon.

  • its a 'generator' not an 'instrument'....ie: it shows in an 'audio track' and not a 'midi track'...

That's kind of what I thought. I noticed a few other apps that do this. Thing is, those apps aren't synths, so I wonder why Mitosynth is audio only.

  • If you setup a midi track in Cubasis, you can record the audio from Mitosynth into Cubasis by setting the midi track's output to go to Mitosynth if you're using either Audiobus or IAA.

  • It should show up in the IAA instruments list like all the other synths? At some ppl do, they showed me screenshots of their Cubasis and it's there. I can record it in Cubasis by choosing an audio track and then routing it as mentioned. Since I 'm not the only one having this problem I sent an email to the dev. Thanks for the responses :)

  • And yeap I'm talking about the midi list although I can still send midi out from Cubasis to Mitosynth as Paulinko wrote.

  • Hi Guys....MitoSynth 1.1 is out and is better and better, here is my second part of presets I'm working on this new version:

  • Very kind. Looking forward to being distracted from a rainy morning here in Maine.

Thanks, really nice presets in there. Some really interesting results using the gridcore and the XY performance pads. Awesome!

I'll try to contribute with a bank down the road. I've only done 15 or so presets, mostly basic stuff really. Need to spend more time with Mito before I can do more interesting things (hopefully). This summer has been a bit busy, not to mention record hot here in Sweden (highest temperatures since the 1800s), which = no energy, constant brain farts, almost quit smoking and other weirdness going on. :)
