Don't let the MiniLab 3 get missed with the Ableton and MiniFreak announcements!
The new Arturia MiniLab3 looks pretty cool:

I was more interested in the MiniFuse 4 - that’s a lot of connectivity in one box, especially at that price point. https://www.arturia.com/products/audio/minifuse/minifuse4
109$US not a bad price. In Canada it's probably going to cost only 350$CAN
I'd be purchasing now if it had Bluetooth. Alas...
If I’m reading the connectivity right, I’ll be able to go directly to my iPad Pro with a usbc cable?
The last one worked off usb c power. I’m sure it’s the same for this and still a lightning ipad is still not gonna give it enough power.
That above page gives the impression that the sliders are motorised
Yeah, that's sneaky. But they animate the primary knob, too. No way you're getting motorized faders on a $100 mini-keyboard though.
Has anyone already tried it? I'm wondering if it works with Lightning iPads without additional power...? Previous Minilab mk2 worked just fine when I had it.
I just got one. It does indeed work with Lightning iPads without additional power. I tried it with a first generation retina iPad Mini and it worked great with the default power settings for the MiniLab 3. Note that there's also an option for low power mode that can be configured in Arturia's MIDI Control Center, but I didn't need to do that.
@orand that's great, thank you. I was worried because of new screen addition.
Just got mine as well.
Loving it so far.
For some reason I have to reboot my iPad every time to get it to recognize the minilab.
Tonight a few times before it connected. Not sure what’s happening there.
This or the new Akai MPK mini plus ?
@Ben What iPad model, is it with USB C or Lightning port? Maybe try that low power mode option mentioned by orand
I really don't like the keys of the Akai. The Akai feel like a toy IMHO. It's more expensive, but the MPK 225 is really good.
Thanks for responding. 2018 Pro 11”. USB C port.
It took only 1 reboot to connect tonight but I’ll check that out.
Is there a user manual pdf that you’ve seen? I couldn’t find one.
