Overdrive Synth APP, Moby Pixel, NuTrix and more

I have not seen much on this forum about overdrive synth, Just the one post with a link to the video and no discussion about it.

It seems like just my kind of app, I like to hook up distortion pedals to my synths or run them through guitar amps.
When I’m using my apps I’m always hooking up a guitar amp emulator in AUM as an effect as well.

I decided to do a search and found some new videos about it. Then I saw a Nu Trix Had a video about overdrive synth plus more. It turns out that moby pixel has also created a few videos on how to create your own drum apps, synth apps and sequencer apps with just 100 lines of code!

it is something I found interesting

  • Haven’t seen this one yet, thanks for this. Gonna try it out later tonight. How do you like it so far?

  • Hmm this does sound interesting. Haven’t watched the video yet.

  • Overdrive Synth rocks, it's a great collection of sounds

  • I went ahead and downloaded it. Seems like mostly a preset player with a handful of knobs for shaping the sound. That said, the presets sounds great. Anyone bought the upgraded version? Curious what the rest of the patches sound like.

Yes, it’s just a rompler. But it’s a pretty good one for the price.

I love the overdrive synth I just wish I could add more overdrive! But I am intrigued by his other videos on making apps

Yep seems to be up there with LoFi piano and the likes. Great sounding ROMplers with little editing ability. I dig it.

  • All sound are great

  • Anyone having any problems with lots of crackling when using this within a host? Seems to only happen in certain host apps like TuneMaker, SAND/AUSH. Maybe it has something to do with not being able to change buffer settings?

Hey HotStrange! Send me an email if you're still experiencing this ([email protected]). I tested in Sand Sequencer and couldn't reproduce the issue on my iPhone 12 or M1 iPad. Sometimes those types of memory issues can be resolved by restarting the device and closing background apps. But if you have steps for me to recreate it on my end, hopefully I can get it resolved. Thanks!
