Stephen Bishop’s Bowling in Paris album is an all-time underrated, classic album. I only found it a couple years ago, but it’s one of those that restore your faith in all the digging it takes to find new great music at my age. Powerhouse!

I was going through MIDI files I have collected looking for good implementations of songs and one captured the rhythm of the original tune so well and it showed what a great song it is…
Gordon Lightfoot’s massive hit “if you could Read Y Mind”. I then wondered how hard it might be to sing those off beat rhythms while playing the chords. If you already have it in your book I’d like to hear your version. I must admit I heard that song so many times I grew to dread it due to over exposure but it was played a lot for a reason… great lyrics and great tune with a perfect performance by a truly unique talent.
“The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” also comes to mind when recalling Gordon Lightfoot.
Beautifully sung and played. Production is perfect. Great stuff, such a warm and clear sound.
I don't know if I've ever heard this song before to be able to compare it to the original. However, your version is simply flawless and a great introduction to this song!
The perfect way to start my Tuesday morning over a cuppa. Cheers mate.
