Wow, good luck with that!
BTW, I might add something in the main vid comment / description about how many of the pieces were made exclusively on iOS. Mine was. What about others?
Mine was too mate. Exclusively iOS.
And thanks mate. 🥹 I don't fancy the idea of being homeless.
😬 mine was a mix of guitar/mandolin, hardware, iOS, and ableton. I honestly can’t recall in what proportions though
Mine was iOS only.
Mine was exclusively iOS.
Strewth. Hope you manage to get things sorted. 🤞
Projector set up and ready to spook 😁!
Today is the day!!
I hope the premiere is a great success. well, it really is already a great success!
The collaboration between all of us, creativity, enthusiasm and dedication to music is not something minor.
For my part, as a musician I would like to highlight the variety and quality of all the pieces, it fascinates me how the same images can have such different music, and at the same time all of them perfect for their purpose. As an engineer I am amazed at the quality of the recordings, when mastering I was able to focus on the most creative aspects of the mastering over the corrective ones.
I think that everyone, both those who have participated with their art and the listeners, will enjoy the result. I think that the coherence in the soundtrack was achieved, and make listening a fluid experience, which is enjoyed. I take this opportunity to say that anyone who wants to know more about the mixing and mastering process is welcome to ask either in public or by PM.
About my track, I did the composition and recording entirely in iOS, just a electric bass (played by my girlfriend!) was used as an external instrument, but processed within iOS. All was a large improvisation recorded in AUM and later I edited in Studioone in my computer.
About today's premiere, I will try to be available but I am having problems with the internet, very strong wind storms have moved the antennas that provide internet to the area where I am (in the forest) and I don't know if the problem will be solved in time. In case you can't be there, I wish everyone to enjoy the experience, please share it later!
I am sure that many will want to participate in a future edition. I personally loved the experience and I am ready to collaborate again with the mixing and mastering (and as a musician too!!) for a new audiovisual adventure.
Thanks @synthi, yours was the essential mixing glue that pulled it all together, and gave it a coherence, as I think people will agree when they hear it this evening. Great mastering skills!
Apropos the question above - mine was, like nearly all my stuff, IOS only. Getting v excited. Got my next door neighbour, lodger and pub quiz colleague roped in as local audience
Well said @Synthi , great to see it all come together, I’ve been sending links out the last couple of hours to all and sundry
Definitely, amazing work Synthi! Really I think a lot of people are going to be blown away by how good this is!
Having recently watched the series "Irma Vep" mini-series (with Alicia Vikander, not the original Maggie Cheung movie), I'm ready for this.
Today is Halloween, shouldn't it be dropping today of all days?
So, what is the final settled time and link to this epic?
Thank you so much for the well wishes mate. 😊
Today, 6 pm U.K. time 😎
So... at the time of this writing about 2 hours and 15 minutes from now?
Aye indeed 😄
If you click the play button here, it will tell you how many minutes are left - there’s no need for timezone calculations and no ambiguity, thank god
The video page on YouTube currently looks like this for me on my FastGhost account, which is infuriating, because I don't have a "Google Workspace" account.
No idea what would cause that. Hopefully it will be viewable for you once it goes public, 42 mins or so from now
Sadly, for me, it's midday and I'm being hounded by work I must do. But I plan to watch it later (after dark). If I notice any specific comments or questions about my stuff I'll be happy to fill in info here on the forum.
Excellent trailer @Krupa !
Got it on now, kudos to whoever did the score on this part. Creepy AF.
Bravo everyone involved, that was superb.
Your part was great!
Absolutely! Really blown away by the quality of the pieces - as I said in the live chat, there was not a single dud among these pieces. All so varied and so good, and great work from Synthi pulling it all together so cohesively. Bravo!
So what's next? 😝
Yeah, huge props to @Synthi for managing to make it feel entirely like a cohesive whole. I'm amazed how well it worked just chopping it into 5 minute segments and handing them out.
I couldn't join the live chat as I was watching on a massive screen.
I hoped to watch from the beginning. But, after a very strenuous morning, I fell out. Coincidentally woke up while my section was playing. I loved the transition to, I think, Fast Ghost’s section after. Perfect. And I think @FastGhost used the thematic motif I had provided, unless @Synthi put it in. That was perfect serendipity. Btw, I had improvised my section previously. Just ran it over the section to see if it made any sense.
I listened to sections of each and will watch the whole thing, but everyone shouldered the burden wonderfully. @Synthi was (no pun intended) masterful! Great result and great work!
Me and Jo had a great time watching this.
All the pieces fitted perfectly, brilliant stuff.
I hope you plan another one.
I used a short snippet of the motif you provided, though it’s heavily treated using iDensity. Thank you for providing it, and I hope you enjoy the full movie when you get the chance. It’s really good (understatement). And your section was amazing!
