Low footprint Drum box that seamlessly syncs with loopy?
I already have boom 808, dm1, seekbeats, ielectribe but they are not consistent with reading loopy's BPM. I.e. Boom 808 at times doubles the beat. Need something simple and reliable. Suggestions?

Funkbox via-IAA. Their last update was great, too
Cool, more interested in audiobus though. Just tried dm1, it starts and stops but goes off within seconds. Will try funkbox via AB though.
Easy beats 3 works great for me. It is automatically a midi slave, so you don't have to set up anything with it.
Funkbox's AB-based sync isn't perfect (it's not sample-accurate). I found it's IAA-sync with BM2 is great though.
Funkbox has the same tempo algorhythm but after a few starts and stops got wobbly. I'm just testing seekbeats again and it is solid. One think worries me that it's footprint may be high for my set up but will give it a go, cheers guys.
Loosely on the subject, your request goes into something I've always wanted: A looper app (like Loopy) that also contained its own grid sequencer that could send MIDI, which could then sample the results of whatever the sequencer was triggering. I feel like this would be the best combo of a spontaneous looper and an exacting sequencer.
Ok, seekbeats is perfect but there's some glitchiness at 128 frames which is the setting I'd rather stay on. Anyway, I'm asking because I'm starting a project with a live drummer and need to give him some rhythmical clue to hook onto like a hihat and 4 on the floor kick. I had a session with him today and I'm pretty happy with the results but my old impaktor set up isn't cutting it. Too much switching around. Looking at adding another mpk mini to have 2 synths running without having to switch program change messages. Feels good playing with live drums though.
Ever thought about just getting some premade 4/4 samples of BD's you like and in the tempos you'd use, then just having them on hand to load into Loopy? If you're using a live drummer, that seems like it may be the easiest solution.
I thought of that but won't be staying on the same speed or time signatures and changing tempo will deteriorate the loop over time. But you right though I may have different loopy projects with different speeds. Just need to get organized
+1 for loops. If they're short, Loopy is quick about changing the tempo (but not immediate). Cheap used drum machine (something early 90s?) might be another option. Solid clocks and easier to send the drummer a click track without it polluting the mix.
Fun fact: There is a little step sequencer/drum machine half built inside of the guts of Loopy. It was part of the original (pre release hacking around trying ideas) version of the app. The metronome is actually driven from it! Maybe he'll flesh it out one day.
Hehe, that would be awesome to see. In fact I find it rather limiting to have that kick on the one metronome only. Loopy could easily have some chip tune patterns like Chordion.
I got myself easy beats 3 and I'm quite impressed with it. With a major update it could become the mpc box everyone seem to be waiting for.
There used to be a fairly hard Stewart Copeland style swing to the hats within the metronome. I'm much prefer the straight click feel.
