I have no words: Zebra 2 with all expansions for 99€
    https://u-he.com/products/zebra2/

Did they say until when it’s discounted at this price?

It's permanent until Zebra 3 comes out, but if you don't already own Zebra 2 and Dark Zebra, you'll have to pay full price for Zebra 3.

    Thx!

Also, keep this in mind (taken directly from U-he's web site at https://u-he.com/products/zebralette/ ...

The current version of Avid's toolkit for building AAX plug-ins is not compatible with the Apple SDK needed to build plug-ins for Apple's new ARM/M1 processors. We are therefore not able to provide updated AAX versions on macOS, neither for Intel CPUs, nor for Apple M1. If you're a Pro Tools user on macOS, please continue using the previous version of Zebralette for the time being. Once the AAX toolkit supports Apple's M1 processor architecture, we will provide new AAX versions for macOS, with support for Big Sur and both Intel and Apple M1 CPUs.

Thanks but I’m not interested in Pro Tools compatibility anyway. As long as it runs well on M1 in FL and Bitwig I’ll be more than happy.

Someone else might find this info useful though.

Exactly. Just trying to let people know so they can make an informed decision.

Keep in mind that Cherry Audio will be releasing their version of the CS-80 on November 22nd. And if the past is an indicator of future pricing, I'm guessing their version will be less than the Arturia version.

Oh man, CS-80 is one of my top 3 dream synths along with Jupiter 8 and Moog One…

  • Polyverse just started their BF sale. 99€ down to 49€, 149€ to 89€.

If you know Infected Mushroom, you‘ve heard their plugins B)

  • The MoogerFooger pedal plugins are still on intro sale till the end of the year. $150 down from $250.

Probably going to pick these up!

Arturia synths are a must buy. They'll keep charging you for more over the years, but they're worth it. I upgraded to latest with BF day price.

It's a really solid deal. It's 149 euro for me. It might be lower after I've bought the synth collection.

Also please be aware that the Zebra 2 legacy license for $99 will not entitle you for a crossgrade to the upcoming Zebra 3.

Personally I'm undecided here. I'm quite new on desktop and I don't want to make the same mistake that I did on iOS and buy too many synths. I already own the Arturia V collection, Pigments and Synthmaster 2. Moreover I'm using the stock synths of Bitwig a lot. On the other hand the license includes all the soundsets which are more than 1000 presets, I believe... GAS GAS GAS.

Well, that ship has clearly sailed then, my friend. You already have too many synths. 🤷

  • FWIW, Zebra was the first VST I ever bought and to me, it is still the most expressive and musical VST I own. I much prefer the sound to synthmaster or Serum. I was thrilled to get the additional presets which I think are beautful. My only criticism is perhaps the presets are too good and would be over-dominant in the mix. The choice against Pigments is a tough one. I love the harmonic engine in Pigments and overall I think it is more versatile.

Get both. There, I have said it.

  • Zebra Legacy is an amazing deal. U-he has to be one of the greatest devs ever. Urs really cares for his customers.

  • What are you doing to me man. My wallet is crying. LOL.

I think the Arturia deal is really nice if you don’t already own their material. They have more offers and deals throughout the year, it would even be quite stupid to pay full/individual prices for their plugins. Quite recently I have bought the Moogerfooger collection but didn’t use it that much. I also hope they will finetune their collection, the current comparisons are not that great. It IS nice material but you can not compare it with their hardware equivalents. No problem with that but when you promote it as a software version of the hardware then there is some work to do. If I’m asked to choose which one first (Moogerfooger or Arturia) I would still go for Arturia. My current favorites are Dist Coldfire, Tube culture, the Spring reverb and the filter plugins. They’re synths I’m not using that much, good stuff but I like the Softube synths more. They also have a nice sale and i.m.o. all their current synths (Model 72, 82 and 84) are top notch. Their Modular environment is great too but the interface needs to be more user friendly (connecting, modes from adding to deleting, perhaps scaling etc.)

From the other hand: If you got some money burning in your pockets, maybe it’s also worthwhile to check out developers that have quite sharp and steady offers like Valhalla. They do not have any sales, all plugins are €50/$50. You can download some free stuff from them and their (payed) delay gives you lot of character and options.

  • It's cool that Waldorf is releasing this, but they still haven't updated Largo with M1 compatibility which I've owned for years.
