Man this thing is beautiful without the granular section. (Personal preference here, I’m pretty fatigued with granular stuff). Really lets the awesome reverb shine. And that resonant multi-mode filter? Oooh wee.

I just feel bad I haven’t found any bugs for these. I guess I should learn to be a power user. At least I’ll be buying them upon release without a doubt.

Don’t worry, Cramdog’s making everyone look like a slacker, embrace your inner early 90s Keanu

  • UA Silo 1.1.2 (2)
Using TOOLTIPS feature on Spatializer and Reverb toggle switch does not show the text. (But if these are the app behaving as intended, I’m sorry.)

Tapping on "Size" of "Buffer" does not bring up the list.

    Additional reports
-If Silo is standalone, the list of size is displayed.
But the lower levels(?) cannot be accessed without tapping and holding Samples or Time or Tempo.
-For Silo loaded into AUM and GarageBand, the list of size is not displayed.

  • I trust the beta-process on these AU apps and will likely get them once released...
...too busy testing other stuff :sunglasses:

  • Phew! Got an important bunch of fixes rolled out this morning:
    -Color theme changing works again
-Buffer Size dropdown now works in AUv3.
    -User presets now save correctly.

(for what it's worth, if you use the Standalone Silo, the Buffer Size dropdown is way less finicky as well)

Just saw @cramdog's tooltips report right after posting the builds. Those are now fixed for the next build.

New builds just came in..but none for Bass-Mint. That means a release is imminent 😊

Thanks for the very quick fixes.

    UA Silo 1.1.2 (3)
Deviation of Pitch cannot be randamized. (But if this behavior of the app is intended, I apologize.)

Thanks! We are extremely blessed to be able to do this full time. Many years ago, I would have stayed up late and pushed color theme fixes in the evening, but I've forced myself to a pretty rigid schedule that vaguely resembles a normal work week so that I can spend more time with my family. New builds are up for everything. I'm going to spend some time doing Bandcamp Friday shopping, and then I'll try to get Tails out today. It seems ready to go.

  • Also, related side note: I really appreciate the positivity on this forum! There are other forums where pushing out a bad beta build (with, say, broken color theming) would have resulted in some negative, stressful messages and insults. The community here has made it really nice for us. So, thank you everyone, not only for helping us with spotting bugs, but also for being supportive of the complicated development process.

I think we're all just excited to see these amazing plugins coming to our niche and oft-neglected platform :)

Generally the forum is quite positive, as long as you don't mention pricing. Or subscriptions. Or the state of iOS DAWs.

  • Or if you're a faceless corporate entity

    UA Silo 1.1.2 (3)
“The small lock icon attached to the buffer cannot be saved to a user preset.”

(((I wanted to say something that would help your striving and inspire you. Or I wanted to say something cool that would show how noble this forum is. But I reconsidered that the best thing to say is the above. I’m so sorry…...)))

    (EDITED)
I posted this as a joke, but I'm starting to feel like it's not funny at all. I haven't slept today so forgive me if I'm being weird.

  • I think it would be better if the manual states the read head(?) can be operated by a user by touching the visualizer.

  • This report covers the latest beta versions of the four UA apps (BM, Np, Silo, Tails) that currently have "Added native AUv3 preset management." or similar descriptions.
Since lo-fi-af has not yet received an update with the description "Added native AUv3 preset management.", lo-fi-af is not included in this report.
I do not consider the following three to be issues, but I will report them just in case. This post is not a request for a fix or improvement.

This post may not be worth its length. So I use the forum’s spoiler feature except for a few parts. (I think anyone can read it by tapping on it.)

    A.
After selecting a preset in the preset selection feature of the UA app itself loaded in AUM, when accessing the preset list of the folder icon in AUM, the position of the blue check mark is not in sync with the last selection on the UA app side.

    Examples of other apps' behavior
-When the same operation is performed for Toneboosters Reverb, the position of the blue check mark on the folder icon in AUM is synchronized.
-When the same operation is performed on Imaginando K7D and Nembrini DELAY3000, the position of the blue check mark is not synchronized. The position of the check mark remains at the position of the last check mark tapped by a user.

    B.
When the duplicate feature is used on AUM node with a loaded UA app, the position of the blue check mark on the folder icon in the UA app is forced to the lowest preset in the preset list.
But this does not mean that a preset different from the user's intention is loaded. The preset displayed in the duplicate destination UA app is the same as the original preset.

    Examples of other apps' behavior
-When the same operation is performed on the Toneboosters Reverb in AUM, the blue check mark of the duplicate source preset is on the same preset in the duplicate destination.
(The preset itself loaded to the duplicate destination is the same as the duplicate source.)
-When the same operation is performed for DELAY3000 in AUM, the blue check mark at the duplicate destination is attached to "Default" at the top position of the preset list.
(The preset loaded to the duplicate destination is the same as the duplicate source.)
-If the same operation is performed for K7D in AUM, the blue check mark in the duplicate source is not attached to any preset in the duplicate destination. In other words, the check mark itself does not exist.
(The preset itself loaded at the duplicate destination is the same as the duplicate source.)

    C.
If there is a preset with the same name in the factory preset and the user preset of the UA app, a blue check mark will appear on both of the two preset names.
Even if the status of the factory preset and the user preset with the same name are not identical, a blue check mark will be placed on both the factory preset and the user preset.

However, if there are two presets with the same name when saving a session containing a UA app in AUM, it does not mean that a different preset is loaded than the user intended. The preset of the user's choice will be loaded.
For example, suppose there are two presets in the UA app, each with a different status, named "ABC".
-If the user selects the factory preset "ABC" in the UA app and saves the AUM session, the factory preset "ABC" will be loaded.
-If the user selects the user preset "ABC" in the UA app and saves the AUM session, the user preset "ABC" is confirmed to be loaded.

    Examples of other app behaviors
-AUM folder icons for Toneboosters Reverb loaded into AUM will probably not show duplicate named factory preset and user preset at the same time. A non-duplicate named(?) user preset will appear as a new user preset in the folder icon of AUv3 window in AUM after that user preset has been loaded in Toneboosters Reverb's own preset selection feature in AUM.
-The AUM folder icon in the K7D window loaded into AUM does not show the factory presets and user presets probably at the same time.
With the factory folder selected in the preset selection feature of the K7D itself loaded in AUM, the factory preset list appears in the preset list of the folder icon in AUM.
When a user folder is selected by the preset selection function of K7D itself loaded in AUM, the user preset list is displayed in the preset list of the folder icon in AUM.
Since a user preset with the same name probably cannot be created, it will probably not happen that two check marks appear.
-The AUM folder icon in the DELAY3000 window loaded into AUM will show the factory preset list, but probably not the user presets. Therefore, the two check marks will probably not appear.

(Incidentally, in my environment, it seems that C. is also happening together, cascaded(?) by B., but I’m not sure.)

Again, the foregoing is just a report. I have no intention of demanding improvements or fixes. I’m not troubled by the behavior of A., B., C., in the above UA apps. However, I report it just in case because it may be related to some other issue that I’m not aware of.

  • These plugins are great. Haven’t made many iOS purchases this year but will be buying these. Hope more of the catalog make it to the platform :)

  • Whoops, crap. Signed in to ask a quick question about something which I’ve entirely forgot about before sitting down to get a couple hours of work done… then I accidentally found this thread and ended up twirling knobs from 8 til 1030. Now to top off a well-spent night I shall be spending $25 in the App Store lol

  • I love this app, it’s Fantastic to have something like this on the iPad.
If I would think out loud and just dream, I would like to be able to record longer than 9 seconds, and maby be able to make longer grains.
    Amazing app.
    Best regards Bobb
