Caelum Audio - Smoov and Schlap - Major update and sale

Hi All,

We have just released a major update to our Smoov and Schlap compressors. To celebrate we are having a 50% off sale (as close as we could get to 50% off on the iOS app store).

Schlap Changelog:

  • The new colour control gives the compressor more character. It will add a satisfying crunch that will make your ears feel the Schlap.
  • Filter listen can be used to listen to the filtered side chain signal.
  • Mix can be used to dial in parallel compression.
  • New presets.
  • Optimisations.

Smoov Changelog:

  • The new HF Recovery control is a dynamic eq on higher frequencies that can be used to reduce compression for that frequency range to make the sound more Smoov.
  • Filter listen can be used to listen to the filtered side chain signal.
  • Mix can be used to dial in parallel compression.
  • New presets.
  • Optimisations.

Thanks,
David and Gabriel

  • Are both desktop and iOS versions now updated?

After checking my "Caelum Audio License Control" software, it turns out that "yes" is the answer. ;)

Yes, available for desktop and built with macOS Ventura - all our plugins are working on Ventura but I wouldn't recommend updating yet as the OS itself is a buggy mess...

Oh, now you tell me... after I updated. :|

Same situation with Cherry Audio apps. Found out too late and they're in mop up mode over there.

Yeah, I was pretty pleased to find our plugins were working nicely when I updated. Although I'm fed up of dragging a safari tab to my second screen only for it to be a copy of the other tab so anything you click/search is just mirrored across both windows. Also I really wanted to like stage manager but I just couldn't so that was quickly disabled.

I don’t like Stage Manager either. I have to wonder if Apple does any serious software testing anymore after this update.
