Free noise wavetables
I’m looking for various noise wavetables. I’ve been using noise module in Drambo until now and loving it as a modulation source but would like to explore further. Thanks

Guess you've already tried filtering and processing/filtering the noise in various ways and using that as a modulation source?
I'm particularly fond of running a basic white noise thru a decimator and weirdness will definitely happen when multiplying the result with another oscillator or sample and using that as a modulation source etc. etc.
The wavetable oscillator is also pretty neat as a modulation source just tune it a lot lower (LFO range) lower for total but still controlled modulation chaos.
What 'kind' of noise are you looking for?
Yes, I’ve tried all sorts of filtering and modulating the modulator etc.
Just had this idea while scrolling through the wavetables that I already own, stuff like electric noises but would love much wider palette to experiment with.
So, to sum up, I’m not looking for anything specific but since I don’t have the necessary knowledge or tools to make my own I thought I’d ask if there’s anything out there already![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Thanks @Samu
Gotcha, usually when I hear 'interesting' sounds I always start to deconstruct them and try to figure out how they are created.
But some stuff is just easier to sample (I have a soft spot for poking a dynamic mic such as SM58 into places where there's electric activity and crank up gain as it's very sensitive to that kind of 'noise' and it's harder to re-create from scratch).
This is what it sounds like when I put the SM58 on my MacMini connect it to the Audient ID4Mk2 and crank up the gain![:sunglasses: :sunglasses:](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/sunglasses.png)

(It's a raw recording not even normalized).

Pick your favorite samples, open each in a wave editor and extract (cut & paste to new) the best portions with 2048 samples length so you get a set of multiple wave files, each 2048 samples long.
Append all into one large file and load them in the Wavetable Oscillator.
I love your idea, never thought about making a wavetable from noises! 👍🏼
Yes, I’ve seen your instructions somewhere but when I open a sample in ie twisted wave how do I know I’m saving 2048 samples long? I’ve just opened an existing wavetable sample and it is 11”888 length in seconds and 1mb in size but I see no other length unit.
Unfortunately as long as there's no way to turn off 'Snap to X-Crossing' in TwistedWave it's close to impossible to make a selection that is exactly 2048 samples long and also there's no way to set the ruler to show samples...
(I have sent a request for both of these to the TwistedWave developer a long, long time ago).
Chopping and Trimming the samples in NS2 or BM3 might be a bit far-fetched but at least it's doable.
For hand-drawn 2048 sample long frames SunVox can be used (one sampler for drawing and another to paste the frames to).
If the noise waveforms are to be used as modulation source then a FlexiSampler should also work.
Cheers!
Auditor let’s you set selections to a fixed sample length and let’s you view time as samples.
Great to know, thanks!
Thanks, I’m getting no hits when searching the AppStore?

This wave-editor works quite ok on the iPad as well.

Tap Go To the Editor and under options set it to 2048, tap File -> Render Sample (Via Server) and it will download a *.wav.
