I found this tutorial on how to make a proper kick sound in Drum Computer. It's a bit long, but I was able to get a good basic kick preset that I can pull into projects as needed, and the info's useful for learning how to bend DC to your will generally.

Nice one @aaronpc thanks for that. I enjoy the app, but haven’t got the best out of it so I’ll check that out! :)

FAC Drumkit is really fantastic! Very intuitive to learn it, and I love the drums I can make in it from scratch. 🙂 Cheers.

Thank you very much for your support and feedback, really appreciated!

Cheers mate. :) It's funny how my brain works. If I use drum samples, I use samples. But when I create my own drums, I start from scratch rather than from any presets (which would be sort of like using samples as samples are basically presets bounced to .wav format). There is no inbetween.

I did the original synthesis in my example above with Obsidian and built-in effects in NS2, but once I saw "Drumkit" mentioned above, I realised I had that app already collecting virtual dust and decided to give it a whirl. Much easier to use than Obsidian, but still a deep drum synth.

Off-topic, but my most used app of yours is Alteza in my Ambient productions. Indispensible app perfect for dark soundscapes and cool shit like that. 😅
