  • One of the very best app on iOS. At this price, it is a no brainer

  • I’m broke now, so… 🤷🏽‍♂️

  • Literally the main factor behind buying an iPad a few years ago. I really wish he'd update it with new features and AU capabilities. I'd pay for it again in a heartbeat!

  • Still no AU3 :(

Doesn't matter. It's so good that I find it acceptable to load it as IAA. Anyway I rather use it like an external hardware. It's an instrument that I play instead of programming it. To all who don't own it, now is the time.

  • I’m guessing this is the clearance before AUV3 launch.

    +1

  • Although I am not so much into working with samples, I could not resist to give this a try. Amazing, and it is something for playing and playfulness instead of programming.

For instance : Turn on Ableton Link and load it as IAA into the IAA host of choice. Load a guitar riff in the key of your track and go crazy with Samplr along your track. It's so much fun.

Do you know how to load samples into Samplr ? Is this possible via FilesApp, or are Dropbox and Audioshare the only way ?
SOLVED: Samplr creates a folder on the device. Files shared with the app are getting copied in this folder.

It absolutely is ... go through the presets and play with them ... it's such a lot of fun and so accessible!

  • Samplr has been my foreground app in my iPad rig for years now. It was born to be a 100% live performance oriented app.

Wow @supadom, just wow! I love the track and how you're using Samplr. I watched some more recent tracks and you've really built a nice iPad centred rig. Really great songwriting. I'm a fan.

I guess LoopMix and the promised updates will render these ancients, obsolete..
    let’s see if they Auv3-Ize, now…

Yup, I’ve never owned it as I’m not much of a sample user and it was expensive. At this price, worth taking a punt on it, even if I don’t use it much.

I think the dev has said it’s just going to get maintenance fixes from now on as he doesn’t have time to work on it since he got a job with Apple, or something like that. Remember reading it here a while back.

You clearly haven't used Samplr when comparing it to LoopMix. One is for live playing, the other is 100% programmable 🙈

Sorry, my bad.. Thought was the other classic app, Sector, was it.. ? ✌️

  • What? Not showing up on any app sales sites.

  • Haven’t had so much fun with an app since the beginning when I started musical adventure on IOS

  • mac users - there's also a little samplr for touchbar app - native silicon too

  • If there could only be one music-making app on my iPad, it would be Samplr.

100%. Better on a separate iPad anyway.
And a perfect candidate for Ableton LINK.

  • Here’s a workaround if you’d like to sample into Samplr directly (which is not possible). If you’ve got Koala you can sample into it, then Export from the sample menu and select Audio copy. You can then paste it into Samplr without having to manually save a file.

You can use Audiobus to sample directly into Samplr. Also from AUM, with the help of Audiobus.

Thanks, I've read that. I should have added that I don't own audiobus.

  • What a brave individual to be saying such blasphemy on this forum.😌

Haha! That's the power of coming late to the party, when AUM was already there 😁
