I don't really know in the end why I do that. It's a lot of small things.
I think since I discovered I could make music on my iPad (that I used mainly for watching series and some games) I like the idea of a very minimal setup I can take anywhere. The technical limitations force me to focus more on the writing and execution instead of juste loading terabytes of layers. I also like the process of optimizing the samples from the desktop to the iPad and realizing 200MB can sound as good as 20GB.

@JMmusic : cakewalk is a good daw and is totally free, you can add spitfire labs, decent sampler and some piano book libraries and you're good to go.
