iOS Universal app that has Flux Rhythm

Hey, I'm looking for an app that can play synth or modulate volume in the Flux fashion, i.e. the rhythm gets compressed with time, so first the modulation is slow, then faster and faster and again slow, faster, faster etc.

I know that from Output's Movement for example. Is there any app that features this cool sounding effect available for iPhone and iPad?

Do you think you can do this effect with Drambo?

Sounds like you just have to target one LFO at the frequency of a second LFO. Then the second LFO will speed up and slow down. then you target that LFO at the parameter you want to modulate. You could do this in Drambo or MiRack, or in any host that allows MIDI routing (and use a MIDI LFO plugin), or you probably also can do it in many synths like synthmaster or Factory that have two LFOs and are liberal enough with their LFO destinations

If every note should sound the same (modulation is for example slow at first and then gets faster, then gets slower, then gets faster) you'd have to set it up that each key pressure restarts the LFOs (In Factory that's called "sync to MIDI gate")

If you don't want to let the modulation speed cycle (faster faster, then slower slower, then faster faster etc.), but instead you only want it to start slow and then become faster, or the other way around, then use an envelope and point that at the rate of your modulation LFO.

  • Thank you dobbs. That's an excellent explanation. Could you post the link to "Factory" ? I know rack and Drambo but didn't hear about this one.

use two LFO, one affecting the other's speed

    Factory is from sugarbytes: https://apps.apple.com/de/app/factory-modular-synthesizer/id1458743434

not really cheap though, for the same price you could already buy drambo...

Where is iPhone :P I'm so fine working with too small knobs. They should always include iPhone version with an alert disclamer.

  • oh right, factory is not available on iphone... synthmaster 1 is universal, and it's free right now

Thank you! I recreated that in Synthmaster One too. Works like a charm!
