AA SAMPLE PLAYER - New, Simple, Cheap For iOS, Free For Desktop
EDITED because I got the name wrong.
This dude whose "GAS Therapy" videos I enjoy is always looking for inexpensive solutions.
To that end, he made a sampler - called AA Sample Player - for iOS ($.99) and desktop (free). It's the kind where you load a one shot and it becomes playable across the keyboard.
One of the good points for iOS is that it does not make a copy of the sample on your system drive. He is VERY particular about file and folder management, and he emphasizes his desire to keep this app clean and simple. All the iOS stuff is in the second half of the video.
I hope someone finds this useful!
(caveat - I am just downloading this now. And I am very new to this forum and to iOS apps. So perhaps some more experienced users can weigh in on whether this expands, improves, or simplifies anything which already exists.)

Thank you and apologies everyone. Newbie mistake! I subscribe to that guy's channel and the video had only been up for 5 hours, so I looked at the topics in General Discussion for the last day or so and, seeing none, posted about it. Then after I downloaded the app, I noticed there were reviews on the app page that were a couple weeks old. I mistook the desktop versions being new for the iOS version being new and didn't search thoroughly enough. I thought I was a reporter with a hot scoop!![:# :#](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/grimace.png)
