    Right. Just like other apps like syntorial or the affinity v2 apps, you purchase on their website and then verify through a log in within the app. Smart. Thanks for all the replies.

    I always purchase from the website itself to avoid any iOS funny business.

    I skipped that process because I already had desktop license. I think it was directing you to their website to make the purchase, after which you get your license number. Same license number that you then use for both desktop and iOS.

    Aah, interesting, that seems to run counter to what I thought Apple allowed, but it's great that they managed to get it working

    I'm not sure I was right about the process. Could be you purchase using regular IAP process and Apple gets 30% (or whatever it is) of Pianoteq licenses purchased on iOS devices. In any case, however you purchase, same license is good on both iOS and desktop devices.

    Which is the best piano pack? I have some ideas from demoing but curious to hear from others.

    Also keep in mind that Pianoteq frequently have sales. If you're on the fence might be worthwhile to at least sign up for their newsletter. One of my favorite features is being able to virtually mic the piano however you want.
