Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

An exercise in making the most out of a simple one minute(ish) (at 200 bpm) motif produced by Piano Motifs.
The same motif is used at 200, 100, 50 and 25bpm to produce different genres of music.
Decided to do it a a video in case it helped somebody 😊
Some tricks used…
1) All 4 channels available from PM were used I.e. Melody, Accompaniment, 3rd channel and Harmony.
2) Rozeta LFO is used to vary the Pre Transpose parameter of Rozeta Scaler to vary (within the scale) the available notes
3) I find the S&H setting of the LFO works best for this purpose
4) Rozeta LFO is used to vary the Expression parameter of the SWAM instruments
5) The AUM keyboard is used to a) select Tempo Presets b) Bypass instruments that are finished with (to reduce DSP) and c) Unmute the first instrument in the next section.

  • Almost like a Fugue Machine concept. The first PM riff was fun. Interesting stuff, Tony.

@GeoTony, very illustrative exercise. Loved the 50 bpm and 25 bpm versions. Thanks for sharing all the possibilities of control through AUM keyboard mappings, very useful.

  • I love the visuals Tony!!!
As if I know what I am looking at.
Lovely and interesting, and the process is quite complex.
    Well done on this recording.
