OT: Battery powered mixer suggestions please...
As this is the forum where a lot of "portable" musos hang, I thought I'd ask if anyone has come across a decent 3/4 channel battery powered mixer?
I have a couple of "passive" ones, viz ART 'SplitMix 4' - however having one with active circuity would be better for purpose.
Thanks IA

The small usb behringer one works very well with power bank and will set you back some $30 used
That TE Field Mixer looks pretty damn sweet if you don't mind the cost.
mmmm, mmmmm - what a sweeet bit of kit!! Way to exxy but wow so nice...thanks for for pointing it out.

I’m not recommending this product to OP. I’m merely introducing it. I’m not familiar with mixers.
Centrance stuff is awesome, highly recommended.
Thanks, but not battery operated
You can use a power bank easy enough though, no? Too bad it's not battery powered, their portable recorders are and are awesome for that.
Rolls have a couple mixer that fit the bill.

Yeah true dat, BUT if I was to use a power bank I'd not need another mixer...already have some I can do that with![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
hmmm, for mics though, not really for line level...at least not from what I read. And I'd have to go and re-make a few cables on top.
They have over 20 different models. Pick the one that fits your needs.

Fair enough, it was just a last straw suggestion as I think the Centrance stuff is really well done. Especially for the price. Though I was really surprised their mixer needed USB power. Bummer.![:( :(](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/frowning.png)
Roland Go Mixer Pro x might be worth a look.
I use an old Boss KM-04 for this.
https://www.tc-helicon.com/product.html?modelCode=P0CPR
From the specs:
12 input / 2 output, 24-bit 48 kHz USB audio interface for recording mobile devices or computers.
It can also be used as a simple mixer, controlled via Bluetooth per iOS app "TC Blender".
Very recently I bought one of these:
https://idonner.eu/products/donner-dp-x-effect-power-supply
So recently that I’ve never actually hooked it up to anything other than my first test to verify it worked
It comes with a big bunch of leads to power things up with (not hugely long, probably okay for a small tabletop of stuff)
An oddity is that all the outputs are neg centre and it comes with one polarity converter lead, whereas most of my stuff is pos centre so I ordered and received a bunch of barrel polarity converters
My main intended use isn’t the same as this thread, though - most of the outputs are quite low current, most of them will be used for powering HDMI splitters, HDMI mini-monitors and stuff like that, but also including a simple audio mixer
[edit: I just saw the price on that url – I didn’t pay that much! Look on eBay for lower prices, I had one in my watch list much lower than that, and then a while after got a very very good reduction offer – I’ve since seen them cheaper than that offer from same vendor (yes, once I bought it, thanks)]
Livetrak L-8 has much more than I need![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I don‘t know what is your use case, but if you need just a simple submixer without mike inputs and eq for a portable power bank powered mobile live setup like me, then I can recommend the inexpensive Chinese mixers like the Moukey models. It‘s a sub brand of Chinese music gear manufacturer Donner. The 6 channel model was about 30 bucks.

Unfortunately it seems to be unavailable but a quick search on aliexpress revealed that the same design is still available under other brand names.

A little warning, if you power devices with batteries and/or powerbanks, there is a possibility noise is introduced in your signal. Because there is no ground wire in your setup.
I tried to power a Zoom R8 with a powerbank, in combination with other gear and an electric guitar, and then there was noise. Just the R8 stand alone, there was no problem.
Other problem I had with connecting too much gear on the same powerbank, was a short circuit, and the powerbank would shut off. When I tried another powerbank or 9 volt batteries in this setup, I got the noise. When I went back to all electric power from a grounded wall wart, the noise was gone.
So I am not saying this will happen in your setup, but it could be a disappointment, you have everything on batteries but then the noise in the background is pretty annoying.
Aliexpress!??!!😂 you can go first.
+1
Thanks for all the suggestions, but PLEASE _refer to the OP - _MUST be battery operated!
Wired power (whether mains or 5v adapter) I have already!!
Edirol M-10MX.
Battery powered 10 channel mixer (1/4” and phono line inputs). They’re discontinued, I had to wait a very long time to find one on eBay for a reasonable price, but I’m glad I did because I’ve used it in many different situations. A really great device, tragic they stopped making it.
This post is not a recommendation, just an introduction.
These two products can probably be powered by batteries, but I’m not sure if they are suitable for OP's intended use.

This product is battery operated but is a monophonic mixer.

This thing looks pretty slick:
https://www.eliteacoustics.com/portfolio/eae-stompmix-x6-digital-mixer-with-lithium-battery-2-2/
using Zoom LiveTrak L-8.
not really compact, but has too many advantages.
oooh VERY sweet! Nice price too...albeit I need to nearly double it for Oz dollars haha!
EDIT: oops, spoke too soon, no battery power![:( :(](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/frowning.png)
TBH, I am starting to think I should get a battery power pack (that can pump out 240v up to 10amps - this is for Oz
) rather than trying to find something so bespoke.
I did look at the Behringer 1002B, but it needs 3 9volt mini-brick batteries! and even with three you only get at most, 4 hours.
This would get quite a large pack.
Dunno if you're into DIY but if you can find a mixer that has enough free space inside and suits your needs, you might consider installing rechargable batteries in the box. Or build a flat battery pack with the mixer's footprint.
These mixers usually need +15V, -15V and +5V or +3.3V power internally. Can be done, either by combining batteries or by using one of those cheap DC-DC converters available via ebay.
