Huge AEM Update + BeatMaking Guide 🔥

Huge AEM Update + BeatMaking Guide 🔥 | Audio Evolution Mobile

I’m sure anyone keeping score knows @dwrae has been on a furious run lately with updates and refinements to Audio Evolution Mobile. In this video we go over some highlights of it, and demonstrate what they mean in terms of workflow possibilities. I think we’re getting pretty close to desktop class here. If you enjoy the traditional DAW workflow and don’t own AEM, now might be the time to jump in. What’s your thoughts?

“Close to desktop class”— For realz! Thanks again for showing us how it’s done , IPB!

  • Yea even the TB fx inside are like $2 each.

  • Remember when NS2 was all the rage and you didn’t hear AEM even mentioned for over a year it seems? Maybe even more ? Look at Davey NOW!!

  • The trick with repositioning he notes in a chord on the timeline is really cool. I have learned something new today. Thanks @ipadbeatmaking

i still love NS2 and its still my main daw for making beats because of its fast work flow environment, but i got to say that if the developer of AEM keep going like he’s doing AEM might take the spot, but for now NS2 still my number one main DAW for how i like working and creating on a fast work pace plus it has the best internal instrument and sample player plus the best drums pads , but i do want AEM to be on that level for making beats, because aem its good for audio

Forgive ignorance etc. How do I access the store?

  • @JohnnyGoodyear There's no store, per se, but if you try to use an IAP (look for the ($) dollar sign at the end) it will prompt you to purchase it.

    Thank you!

  • AEM is the only iOS daw I’m actually waiting for its updates nowadays
It’s already winning in so many departments, unbelievable worth for the price

  • Hot damn, @ipadbeatmaking
This one was awesome. Nice workflow... And I see I've been sleeping on the copy+paste for midi info. (maybe the apps i've been using don't have that though )

Brings me back to the ol' days of iOS, before Audiobus even

It really is! I’m looking forward to trackpad support being added. I think that and the planned update(s) will officially seal it.

It’s been an interesting race to watch from then to now. In the world of iOS music, there’s been a lot of feature requests that have gone ignored and promises that have been left unkept. It’s only right that the dev with the most/best communication, and speed of updates, has their app throned/celebrated/supported.

Glad you found some useful info in it! I wasn’t sure about doing an update video + making a beat but now I’m glad I did.

So hard to stick to one daw or creative tool. We’re so spoilt.

The beauty of iOS is that we don’t have to!

You’re making it hard to ignore MTS and AEM.lol. I’m trying to avoid another several week long learning curve 🫠

I recommend them both. MTS is the best app on iOS for people who want the FL studio (desktop) note drawing in workflow. It’s qwerty keyboard shortcuts in the piano roll are amazing.

Zenbeats is just so fun. BM3 is still the goat iPad workstation for me but Z3 has kept me away from it all year.

Glad you’ve found something you vibe with, that’s always a great thing!

Drambo is really as great as everyone says it is. Loopy Pro super high fun factor as well. Still, haven’t used either much this year.

Both true! Drambo for me needs a better way to get my creations out and loopy pro would be wonderful with midi 🍩 imo. Hopefully both happen soon

@ipadbeatmaking : I always use a midi piano type keyboard to enter stuff..I don’t seem to pick up DAW workflow as quickly as you do so I tend to try to stick to a single workflow. Still, I have MTS studio also…I’m wondering since I don’t draw notes much, if there are any other advantages to using MTS.That poly modulator looks cool though..Also as a poly DAW user can you name your top ios DAW choices as of the present ? (Cubasis 3, Zenbeats,MTS or AEM?)…
Thanks again for your essential work..… You’re definitely one of the main kats of this platform!
