ArpBud Not Working in IPad OS 16

Hey Gang

Anyone else having an issue with the ArpBud 2 AUv3 not loading in any DAWS in iPad OS 16? Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. It will open in standalone.

Comments

  • Ok, here's the kicker. The AU does load if you bring it in anew, however existing instances of it in a project will not load or reload. This would be fine if the settings weren't trapped in there! Agggh.

That sounds like ArpBud has been updated with a new AudioComponentDescription, possibly for compatibility with M1 Macs. The AudioComponentDescription is the identifier the host uses to save and reload AUv3 modules. This has happened with other apps, notably MixBox. You should contact the dev and ask him to find a way to support both "versions" of the app.

Thanks @uncledave . I'll send him a message. Actually, @cem_olcay maybe this is the easiest way to make contact?
