QS would be great if enabled on Mac M1 using a bigger screen
Deffo would be cool on the Mac
@midiSequencer while we have you here, another request which I was reminded of the need for while noodling with Photon AU just now: please enable state saving. It does not save the buffer between sessions which is something I had forgotten and would be both useful and expected behaviour for an AUv3 app. Thanks 🙏
Cool, glad it works for you - sounds like PM fixed the issue
Probably need a rewrite as the libraries it uses probably won't work on an M1 chip. If there is enough demand I could look into it some more.
For Photon isn’t just a Midi recorder it’s a midi translator regroover
It does way more than record
Yes I need to make Photon fully save session data - it's on my list todo
Indeed, you can transfer rhythm from one midi file to another. I don't know if any other app does this? I use it to change Mozart(too many notes) to Bach(regular steps)
I’m having trouble setting the controls on MidiEcho. When I touch them they tend to jump from min value to max value. Once in a while I can get an intermediate value, but with very little touchscreen control (2017 12.9 pro, iOS 16 something).
You initially generally have to touch outside the knob itself to get any kind of accuracy, then drag - even then, for me at least, certainly on things like delay ms value there will usually be a slight jump when trying to get the initial touch point right. It seems like pure guesswork hitting the right spot. I would definitely like to know if there is some secret voodoo knack to getting a bit more accuracy with them, of not maybe they could be reworked so that the average user could use them intuitively and with better accuracy.
Just tried this out on 12.9 iPad Pro 2017 iOS 16 and it works fine for me, but then I might be used to it?
I touch the centre, hold the touch & sweep around the centre to change values.
The biggest jump for me is the first touch.
Tried this in Audiobus3 & AUM - same effect.
The controls are based on the audiokit library.
@Gavinski I think they could me made 'less' responsive - I can limit the sensitivity of the change. Will put that in the next update.
Yes, I just ran into this... I purchased Photon today expecting it to save state. Thought it was a bug until I came here!
@midiSequencer I'd love to be able to set the playback start & length in smaller subdivisions (1/8th or 1/16th notes). Would that be possible in the future? I also noticed start/stop doesn't sync with the host when "Start now" is set. Is that by design?
