Linn drums: what are you using? do they need their own app?
What are you using for Linn drums? We have more than a few 808/909 style apps, but for 80s style music the Linn sound is just as important. I find DM1's Linn samples unusably harsh. The Funkbox samples are better, but I'm wondering: Is there anyone else who would buy an app that mirrored the whole machine, as opposed to just a dozen hits? Cf. the very enjoyable Boom 808 and Boom 909.

I would but I think I'd rather an SP1200 with limitations in place!
Fair question. Soundfonts are another option with bs-16i. But there are tons of apps that have Linn samples, or you can find dozens of free wav samples online and put them into an iMPC or other sample playing app
I also would like to see an app of the whole machine instead of loading up handfuls of samples into samplers.
I too would enjoy a Linndrum/LM-1 app

From the day I got my iPad i was thinking how nice an 'iSP1200' would be.
Interface is perfect for a touchscreen port with the faders and all.
Dimensions are matching the iPad screen: resize the attached image to fullscreen.
Seriously, if a good developer gets the license from emu/creative and implements some sample rate tricks and quality filters it would make a great app.
I would love to have a real emulation too. A few months ago I got VLinn (vsti) http://www.alyjameslab.com/alyjameslabvlinn.html it's amazing how close it sounds (from my memory) to the real thing. It has some that magic thing on the hats and also delivers a great punch. So yes, I'd love the same thing on my iPad, and stick on the original sequencer too (crappy clock gives the groove)
