  • @Gavinski yeah... I thought it was my sleepy perception yesterday, but I really think appsliced and synthfrog are kind of wrong on the order of things

  • Still missing a few of the big releases from this year.. but these are tops.. so far.. 😁

Mela 3 - Synth, FX + MIDI.. Powerhouse.. really loving the MIDI FX.. great sounds..
Bleass Omega - Fun, easy to tweak, great sounds..
    Trooper - sounds fantastic!
    VHS Synth - sounds fantastic!

  • VA Poly, that filter is what sweet dreams are made of

  • the new hainbach bram bos collab, whatever that is

  • I’ve got a soft spot for the Mela line. It just sounds fantastic.

    iPolivoks-the one by Red Rock

Nambu “should” win for being new and fancy and feature laden, and it’s still great, but the simplicity and easy access to classic sounds with a great character and filter can’t be denied. The iVoks creates a nice trilogy with Tal Uno and Ob-Xd for vintage analog.

  • Thermo, best of the year for me, the only synth which grabbed me.

  • Probably RRS iVoks, though most of the instruments I’ve bought this year are older.

  • Mela 3 for it's versatility and sound

    1-Trooper
    2-Ivoks
    3-VHS Synth

    I guess I have a Archipelago 😁

  • VApoly, iVoks and Trooper, all great in their own way. Maybe Trooper.

    Trooper
    Tera Pro / Teraverse combo
    Nambu

  • VHS Synth. ✌🏾

  • Trooper, so fun

VHS synth has very different timbres between ranges of the same patch, in some cases is unusable for me, I would love to force only one sample for all the keys

Actually, Synthyfrog doesn't seem very reliable - the most recent release it is showing when ranked by most recent release is Vatanator Pro. I used to use Disccord to find apps by release date, that's no longer an option, sadly. Any reliable sources?

i looked in my purchases which are listed by date.
    and came up with

    Nambu
    Tera Pro
    VHS

    if i could pick three

    if only one I’d say

3xOsc which was added to FLSM this year

  • Should he say it?
    Yes, he’s gonna say it
But don’t we get the point?
Nah, there’s no way he’ll say it

    DRAMBO

  • Expecting a few hands to go up for Fluss now!

  • If released this year only, I’d probably say…

Nambu, really need some more patches though.
    Steel Guitar Pro
Mela 3 if this was released this year

RRS Ivoks. It's simple, but it sounds great.

I missed this discount boat on this twice.

  • You should ask for the more unique app of 2022. Some app are really good, but not unique. Which app does something that others cannot do (hum, not sure about this sentence, sounds like broken English).

True (of course, then this leaves us with a very small collection of apps that can't be 'done' by Drambo lol. Animoog Z perhaps with its wonderful mpe functionality?

  • While I think Megalit is probably the "Best" synth i've fiddled with this year, I had (and am still having) so much fun with VHS synth, so i'll go with that.
