Your 2022 Desert Island Audio FX App is...?

If you could have only 1 audio fx app out of all the fx apps released in 2022, what would it be?

  • These threads are just making me realise how much damn good stuff was released this year! Things seemed to get off to a slow start earlier in the year but it's certainly piled up as the months have passed!

  • I haven’t had the chance to use it that much, but I reckon Silo’s getting that one.

Yeah without it being overtly a multi FX thing, it covers a lot of bases in a really interesting way…

  • Multi fx is cheating.
Such a hard pick, I use various fx of RedRock all time (eq, compressor).

I pick a delay, the Echo B2, as it’s the most realistic vintage sounding and useful delay I keep coming back to.

  • Igor Vasiliev's Spacefields - instant ambient generation from any sound. Silo is a close second, but still getting to grips with that one.

  • Vintage Rack. As you said, it's much lighter on CPU than ClassicFX, sound superb, easy to tweak, have a lot of useful presets.

  • is Other Desert Cities from 2022? If so, that...if not then Bass Mint :)

    Bleass Phase Mutant.

    Edit: Oh and PaulXStretch.

  • PaulXStretch because of what I've just done to the THX sound :-)

Rymdigare is something which I started using only recently but it is so amazing that I can’t think of anything else. (I am a noob when it comes to iOS music scene , guess the app qualifies as an audio
    FX app )

Oops ! Just now realised it was released in 2021

  • LO-FI-AF with Bleass Phase Mutant having a slap fight to see who would stay

Silo, and mostly just for the spatial and reverb sections. The multi-mode reverb being modulated by the multi-mode filter sweep with a healthy amount of resonance is TO DIE

  • SpaceFields + Silo..

Just freakin’ amazing sounds that come out of these 2.. ‘nuff said.. 😁

  • Lo-fi-af. Unlike the other "2022 desert island app" threads, this one was an easy one to answer, lol.

  • Spacefields probably but Unfiltered Audio’s stuff is a very close second

  • the new hainbach bram bos collab

  • Gotta stick with Reelbus

You haven't bought any 2022 releases? All these threads are only on 2022 releases, not apps that were released any time 😜

  • Drambo 2.0 Update.
Seriously, it’s that good. It turned into a new app after that update. Plus, meeting @Gravitas showed another way for me to use it.

 I'm not sure if in these topics people are just ignoring the 2022 release thing on purpose or on accident and just excited about an app

Also not sure, a bit of both I reckon 🤪

People can’t follow the rules because they’re ____________ (any negative adjective will do, it’s a good Mad Libs)

People can’t follow the rules because they’re not sure when the app came out??

I really enjoy piping small bits of audio into Spacefields to see how much of a horrorscape I can make as background for other stuff.

But otherwise, Sunvox 2.0 for fx design. Light and powerful.

  • I’m a sucker for effects so this one is hard. Spacefields? A IA app like lofi-af? So hard to chose. BYOD is great too.

Was beef this year or last?

  • Not had time to really get into the UA ones yet, so currently SpaceFields. That may change, though.

  • A reverb would be essential, but ToneBoosters MBC is one of the few very versatile FX apps I bought that were released this year, so I'm going with it
