Looking for YouTubers/Tiktokkers/podcasters to sponsor for LP promotion: Any suggestions?

Hey lovely people!

Aside from writing code, I can be, uh, just a tad clueless - so, a little poll:

I'm casting around for sponsorship opportunities, to get off my butt and do some promotion for Loopy Pro. Are there any particular YouTube/TikTok/podcast channels that you can think of that might be good candidates for reaching people (like loopers, beatboxers, musicians generally, gearheads) who would be into LP?

I'm thinking about both people who post videos of themselves performing, but also gear reviewers, etc. I've reached out to Andrew Huang's team, for example, his YouTube channel seems one decent candidate.

Any suggestions? Help a nerd out 😏

  • I think you are on the right track so far. Andrew Huang is the right demo.

  • Oh and Dub FX!

  • @seonnthaproducer , @MobileMusicPro , @sfm , @thesoundtestroom , @jakoB_haQ , @Daveypoo , are a few youtubers off the top of my head. (If I forgot to mention you, my apologies.)

That said, Andrew Huang is awesome and has one broad reach. He'd be perfect for Loopy Pro as well as the aforementioned youtubers.

  • Maybe you could get some kind of cross-promo deal with Mr. Beast on YouTube? He has a massive audience.

  • Goes without saying but Heinbach, BoBeats, Bolo Da Producer and why not a go all in with the super sell out San Jay C or however he spells his name?

I’ve stopped following most of the ‘influencers’ it’s way too cringy and too obviously paid promo bs.

I think that Cookoo dude might do an awesome video on it though.

  • Ah yes, add @Hainbach to that list!

  • Came to think of it but check this YouTuber out…
2.4+ million subs and pretty whacky personality to boot.

Ladies & Gents, Here’s Elise Ecklund

  • You might also want to try to focus on non-musician celebrities to get more attention for your app. Maybe promise to buy iPads for a cause if the celebrit(y/ies) endorse or demonstrate the app?

  • These are great suggestions, thank you so much guys!

Anytime mate. :) Best of luck!

  • Loopop is awesome.

    Perplex On

  • I wonder if this guy might see the benefit for showing a new generation how to do it on their IOS devices (107k subscribers):

  • I’d love to see Marc Rebillet use Loopy Pro (2.1M YT subs).. don’t think it would ever happen, but it would really be cool if he tried it.. hey, you never know..
He’s a hardware guy.. Boss RC 505 Loop Station + MacBook Pro running MainStage + Kontakt instruments..

  • Andrew Huang is good, but he will probably charge you 10K$.

VenusTheory is a YouTuber I like a lot.

Loopop is a master to explain music things.

  • Brilliant, this is great. I've reached out to a bunch of those people. Thank you everyone!

  • A Jimmy Fallon reunion!

Another vote for Loopop and Venus Theory and also TAETRO (https://www.youtube.com/@Taetro) might be a good one.

Benn Jordan, formerly or aka "The Flashbulb". Reviewing Loopy Pro is something that would be right up his alley (he bought an M1 iPad just for Drambo), and he's bound to like it.

I'm surprised I haven't already seen a review of Loopy Pro at Sonic State's youtube channel:
    https://sonicstate.com/

Venus Theory youtube channel seems like a natural fit with Loopy, but I'm not sure if he does iPads/iphones:
    https://www.youtube.com/@VenusTheory/featured

    A couple other possible youtubers:

Nahre Sol. Does mostly classical-flavored piano stuff but in recent years has experimented with synths, computer music, and looping.

Ken Karsh. Guitarist who has demoed and frequently uses other iPad loopers, maybe he's already used Loopy Pro, don't know.

Adam Neely. Bassist and all-around music guy. If he likes Loopy Pro I expect he'd want to mention and/or review it. 1.6M subscribers

Rick Beato, Sort of like Adam Neely, reviewing Loopy not exactly his wheelhouse, but if he likes it seems like something he'd use himself and/or bring up on his channel. 3+M subscribers.

    "True Cuckoo"

    Rachel K Collier

Some of these guys have loose afiliations with each other. For example, Huang, Cuckoo, Rachel Collier, and ? have done "One synth one song" type collaborations, where they all give themselves same limitations and each produce a song. Could be that they could all try making a song with LP and compare what they make. I think they might have done one of those with Huang's Flip app, don't know whether competitive app might create problem there.

  • Benn Jordan is a good call!

Henny Tha Bizness and Bolo Da Producer are some other possibilities.

On a slightly different angle, getting some of the people who cover iPads and Apple tech more generally tend to have higher subscriber counts and might be worth convincing to do a segment on Loopy Pro and what it can do...

Benn Jordan might be open to a review, but he seems pretty monogamous to FL Studio. He had an in-depth video recently why he only uses that software.

He reviews lots of stuff. FL Studio is his DAW of choice, but he uses lots of different plugins, VCV Rack, etc. Here's video he did on iPad last year. At 36+ minutes in he literally invites iPad app developers to contact him about their apps:

  • Brilliant, thank you!

  • @Michael my advice ,
finish the damn manual godammit ,
get some decent tutorials on Youtube because some of us aren’t joining Dischord or Facebook anytime soon ,
fix the bugs so there are more “added” than “fixed” in the numerous updates ,
maybe allow longer or reset trial periods - because my 7 days disappeared without me understanding …..
    …..or buying the app
so if you want my money I need the above & not an influencer telling me it’s a deep app ,
& maybe showing screenshots of the manual saying “This section coming soon “ !
/ just trying to help you get my money .

  • Jeremy Blake at RedMeansRecording has shown interest in iOS production tools in past, so he may be worth reaching out to.
