Analysis paralysis: Loopy Pro vs Remix Live vs Endless
In particular, for the playing of my own stems of different projects to create a type of beat tape or mix tape.
So sound packs are not important to me. I roll my own. And my stems will have already been created elsewhere. But the appeal is that all three are not closed-off , you can record into it. Nice to have for adding an element or remix-ish.
I have the free version of Remix . Seems ideal for organizing live sets, but I don’t know how useful their AI engine would be to me. I prefer speeding up/slowing down to beat match, also something Remix doesnt seem to do. Over warping and key changing sources sounds to mash-up for my tastes. They’re also cryptic about their IAPs. All three apps that I mentioned can sample, but how can I with Remix?. I see no mention of AU or Audiobus. But what’s cool is that you can extract stems from tunes, similar to Koala I guess. Again, cool if you wanna Remix, but not my priority.
I know nothing of LOopy Pro and Endless except that they can host AU.
Maybe I should be looking at DJ tools instead? For the longest time I’ve wanted to get DJDJ. It’s got four decks and cue points/loops AND it’s universal. But it hasn’t been updated in a long long time.
Any other app I should consider or questions to be asking myself are welcome. This isn’t for live performance purposes. iPad and iPhone but I use my phone much more. My iPad is a mini 2, and I also have a Launchpad X
