Anyone here own Adam monitors?

I am really impressed by Adam monitors. I’m eyeing T5Vs for nearfield monitors. Anyone have experience with Adam?

Got a pair of A5X and I'm super satisfied with them. Great clean response, more on the analytical side, surprisingly powerful bass for the tiny size (but that has become more common in recent studio monitors) and they don't have "their own sound".
I have a subwoofer but I've rarely used it because I don't miss it.

  • Been using Adam A7X for the last few years. They’re exceptionally clean and transparent. I use em for everything from my own productions to just relaxing and listening to music. They’re not tiring from prolonged use, like some clinical monitors can be.

Thank you both, your feedback definitely is what I heard at the store and read online 🙏🏻

Yep. Highly recommend. Especially for smaller spaces. Having the bass reflex ports in the front (vs rear like Yamaha H series) makes all the difference if you can’t avoid having monitors too close to a wall.

Perfect, that’s what I wanted to hear!

  • As above, highly recommend. I’ve got a pair of the A7X in use with a Yamaha subwoofer.

Better to get the 7 over the 5?

Really depends on exactly what you want them to do for you and also size and location of the room.

Ah, I was thinking within three feet in the living room lol

  • It becomes a challenge to really suggest speaker sizes because it is highly dependent on listening space and room treatment. I found a link to some really detailed information, but I only really suggest reading through tips 7 and 8 to help you determine the choice between 5” and 7” and if you need (or want) a subwoofer.

  • I have a pair of older S2As. They’re stunningly clear. I remember the first time I listened to them; I’d put the monitors they replaced stacked in between the ADAMs behind my desk… I turned the ADAMs on and the stereo imaging was so incredibly true, the center was so clear, that I had to check if my old monitors were turned on. The ribbon tweeters do the same thing the best ribbon mics do (though with significantly greater accuracy): they highlight the mid range without ever being strident or exaggerated. I’d never use anything else…

  • I have the Adam Artist 5 with the matching sub. Set-up sounds amazing BUT they don't seem to be screened and pick up noise fromt the laptop. if the laptop is off there's no noise from any other audio source so I'm pretty sure it's interference of some kind. Have installed high quality cables from my Audient nothing fixes the issue.

it mainly depends on your room , for example mine is completely untreated so I went with the A3X on my desk, everything above was boomy (120-150Hz peaking) and sub frequencies had a sweat spot behind me , so it didn't worth the extra cost

I didn’t know how to describe this phenomenon, I have noticed the same sound. Only one speaker is affected, from what I can tell, and I have yet to do any investigation of the power and signal routings to really understand. I\

Try turning the mains plug by 180 degrees, connect both speakers to the same power strip and run the laptop from its battery only. Still the same issue?
